I don't remember claiming to be perfect... I know I have grammer mistakes here and there... Besides, most are put in there on purpose to lure you into a false sense of security...
Wait, wait... I clearly recall Pirate logs acting like the Pirates were searching for the thingamajig to get into the crater to mine Phazon. Several artifacts were far from the grasp of the Pirates, like the one stuck in stone in Magmoor, the one Flaahgra obviously wanted to eat one day and randomly summon long after its death, the one atop that Chozo tower, etc. Untouched by Pirates. THAT'S why they removed that log entry. It, in itself, was a big freaking plot hole. I still think they only added it as a last-minute attempt to explain why Prime has its weapons.
I don't know about you, but I still think the newest, most recently updated version should be considered the correct one. A more extreme case of such changes would be Metroid -> ZM. Which is considered "correct" now? ZM is. Of course, it's newer, they added stuff and removed stuff to make the story itself more interesting and complete.
And about Aether, yes, sorry, of course I meant Dark Aether. So how the heck did it get onto Dark Aether, then??
Some of us writers actually enjoy spending our time filling in the story in between the games. It's a good pastime, and it can also be a competition to see who's theory is the best one. It's not so much the fact that we are, indeed, thick-framed glasses-wearing nerds with no lifes, but the combined love of writing and competition...
Oh, it's also the thrill of using our brains to deduct brilliant theories. And using your brain every now and then doesn't hurt.
While I find the posts in this thread fasinating, I frankly don't care about them. Maybe it's just because I think of a plot in video games as an excuse to be doing stuff. Besides, I can spot several flaws in your theories. For example, Saber's 'Metroid Queen Excretes Phazon' fails to explain why there are no Hunter Metroids on SR-388. Also, I doubt that the development team of the first 3 Metroid games even cared about the plot very much, so analyzing them is like... uh... doing something pointless.
I wrote it late at night and was also very angered at the moment, because I could not, for the life of me, get links or a picture in there. And yes, the BB code was on, and no, the picture was not too big. I plan to erase that sig anyways... Whenever I figure out how to get the link and picture thing to work.
Besides, I never said the Bible was perfect, either...
u need to take in account the time between metroid and metroid 2 and if this take plase before metroid 2 how come the queen metroid had a hatch larva and how do u know that metroid prime is a male hmm
and u dont know how muck time it take to make a metroid and it to hatch and the mp game has to be between metroid and metroid 2 anything after is wrong we know that all but one metroid was left at the end of metroid 2 and ther was lots of metroid in mp
u get u about the splitting or cloneong of metroids u need to know who meny metroid were ther when the spase pirates were have them clone ther really may be one here ye idea
I realize the error in grammer, but it's out of the Bible. And Bible don't exactly use proper grammer 100% of the time...
Rev. 6:8
Anyways, everything that's been said here (the on-topic stuff, at least) begs a question... It'd make a nice poll, but since it only has two answers, I'll ask here and not risk getting a locked poll. Which version's log entries should be considered the "correct" ones? The original Prime release, or the Player's Choice release?

The log entries that say that Prime broke out, assimilated weapons, etc. were later in the game. Like, Phazon Mines late. And the ones saying they were still trying to get into the Cradle were early. As in, could-be-reached-without-even-getting-missiles-yet early.
So, I like to think as time going on while you play the game. I.E.- the pirates got into the Cradle while you were beating up on Flaaghra, and while you were down beating on the Invisible Security Drone, they reached the decision that Prime could no longer be contained and decided the Phazon in there wasn't worth it.
And as for Flaaghra eating the Artifact, it's more like the Ghosts had it because it doesn't show up until you pwn them. Even if you went up the back way and Flaaghra's flower wasn't there and you pwn'ed the Ghosts, the artifact still shows up. This could explain why some of the Artifacts were out of Pirate hands; the Ghosts took them back and hid them.
EDIT: And Samus Aran 2006... Well... In the words of Mick Foley, have a nice day. :D
Quote from Samus Aran 2006:
1=2=4=8=16=24
P.S.- Your math needs some brushing up. Sixteen doubled is not twenty-four.
Metroid Metroid II: Return of Samus Super Metroid Metroid Fusion Metroid Prime Metroid Zero Mission Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Metroid Prime Hunters (<-- Full game not released yet) Metroid Prime 3 (<-- The system for this one isn't even out yet) Metroid Dread (<-- Got canceled)
That's the order that the games were released in...
Their chronological order is as follows:
Metroid/ Metroid Zero Mission Metroid Prime Metroid Prime Hunters Metroid Prime 2: Echoes Metroid Prime 3 Metroid II: Return of Samus Super Metroid Metroid Fusion Metroid Dread
Verbal, perhaps. But how good of a typist were you? I've gotta say though, not cheking your post for spelling and grammar or caring about it is pretty lazy.
If metroid fusion was last, then that means that ridley wont be back because ridley crumbled and samus absorbed the x (but retro will find a crazy way to bring ridley back I'm sure).
I don't care if they break Ridley down into his component STRINGS (assuming superstring theory is for real), he's not dead if they want him to be a boss again. Period.
I am curious to where Metroid will go after Hunters and Prime 3 comes out. Dread has been cancelled, Prime 3 is supposedly closing up a trilogy, and there aren't any other games in development.
Is Nintendo putting Metroid on the back burner for a while?
