hazard shield

hi people i'm new here and i registerd because of some stuff i saw here.
i wanted to try out skiping the hazard shield. i did it, then i fought omega ridley. after i beat ridley i got the hazard shield :-s it looks like samus has the hazard shield on and in the equipment screen in the pause screen it says she has it, but if i look at the quests it still has "get the acid shield unit" as a quest O_o
and i'm sure that if i go back to were the hazard shield is, it will still be there.

Yeah, that's known; the game automatically gives you the Hazard Shield once you beat Omega Ridley.

But you still can pick up hazrad shield.

transform regular rain when Omega Ridley die.
that,s true rain doesn,t damaged you after Omega Ridley. But this is weird hazrad shield not count extra % and you still can pick up hazard shiled after Omega ridley.

It updates your suit after you beat Omega Ridley and they just assume you have Hazard. After that point in cutscenes you can see it on Samus's suit despite not having it.

Probably because they never made a different character model for being at 75% corrupted and not having the Hazard Shield, as it was never intended that way. As for why they give it to you afterwards, I don't think we ever found out why that is unless it was due to the way they coded the later segments of the game.

But yeah, as MASTER-88 said, the shield is still where you'd normally find it afterwards and you need to grab it in order to get 100% if you're going for that.

No, it has to be something else. In the first two primes, when you skip the Gravity/Dark suits, if shows Samus in her current suit in cutscenes anyway.

Of course this is all conjecture without someone who knows the way the game's programmed, but my guess is that the in-game effects are not separate from the suit models used in the Prime games. Each suit upgrade that changes the visual appearance of Samus probably has a model "set" with a list of upgrades that should function for that suit.

I would bet (though this isn't really testable without a Wii AR or something like that) that giving Samus the "0% corruption set" at the end of the game would make you take damage in acid rain even with the Hazard Suit picked up as an upgrade. Maybe some day we can test that.

Prime hunter is correct, there is no model of being 75% corrupted and having no hazard shield. All the code really does is select the next suit model in the sequence. But if you look closely at the suit you get after beating Ridley, you'll notice that it's not the same as how the suit looks when you did get the hazard shield and beat Ridley (has less blue on it because it's actually the suit you get right when you obtain hazard shield).

Question on hazard shield. Like the suit upgrades in past games, does this reduce normal damage taken? I've never really been watching, nor have I tried to skip it.

I haven't acquired it in so long that I couldn't tell you if it does or not. I would think that, if the log info for the shield says so that it is likely, but I can't be sure without checking it directly during a battle.
