Ridley first always seems faster to me.  There's less back-tracking involved.

Kraid first doesn't have that much backtraking either if you plan it right.  Doing it right after bombs, for example.  The trick to skip the ziplines save several minutes as well.

if you skip the ziplines, you need speed booster to get out.

oh.. well maybe i'm getting a little confused. Anway, I'm going much too slowly but this is my first 10% hard after all. I decided that the Screw Attack won't work. It's just too hard to kill the barriers before Mother Brain...which is what i was just going to mention. I can't kill those barriers, even with 4 missiles. I got past the first one, but they regenerate before i can kill them. What i tried is to get 2 sets of missiles so that i can use my 4, pick up the 2 sets, and shoot them quickly and (hopefully) destroy the barrier. Unfortunately, it's really hard for me to do, so I might have to wait till i see ajbolt's video.
