Anyone think it'll be hard for left handers to control Samus's right-handed power beam? I'm left handed and think it will be tough.

I doubt it; you'll get used to it.
I probably will, but it still sucks. This is the only reason i didn't like the Wii. Maybe i can sit on the right side of my TV to compensate for being all the way to the left of the screen.
You shouldn't have any problem.  All you're doing is aiming, heck, you end up controlling her left hand when manipulating objects.

The game would function just the same whether she had a left handed gun, of if she shot the beams out of her visor.
That would be sweet! shoot out the plasma beam from the x-ray visor....
Hey, all of us non-lefties coped with using our left hand to aim in the first two Primes.

Ready and willing.
Har, har. You know what he means.

Still Nintendo's been insanely good about handedness issues, so I wouldn't worry.

They failed lefties with Wii Princess.
They failed everyone with that...

Given the way the controls worked, keeping it in the original orientation wouldn't have hurt anyone.

Uh...it would have hurt right-handers?

Er, not really. Most lefties that complain about the game complain about it because it just plain sucks. Also, since sword control is not one-to-one, it's really no big deal. Handedness has nothing to do with it; if you're the average person, it's just as easy to swing a controller with your left hand as it is your right.

Can't agree with the sucking, but the controls I didn't dig.

As for the swinging, it had the same effect as pressing a button, which is why handedness was irrelevant.  Best I figure was that they originally had the intention of making things one to one for sword swings.

That's what I hope to see next time.

Oh...that's what you meant by "original orientation"...

I agree.
I bought TP on the GCN for that exact reason. I wasn't about to touch that Wii-version TP with a 20 meter pole. Also, the game just sucked. It was way to fireflying easy, and the final battle made me cry about how easy it was.

But you're right about Nintendo being pretty hand-impartial this whole time. I didn't even think of that.

Rox, that isn't what I meant.

Final battle was the best part of the game. Of course, I'm a guy who thinks adventure games should have moderately easy final battles-- I hate playing for hours and hours only to be really frustrated when I should be able to just take in the awesomeness of the endgame.

The game overall was rather bad, though. Not horrible, but worse than what I'd expect from a Zelda title.
Well, I'm clueless. What're we talking about, again?
some zelda game.
No, I meant before that. Southpaws and Corruption. What difference is there that I am so blissfully oblivious to?
Shooting from the right hand, whilst the player is holding the Wiimote in the left, pointing at the screen from a different angle than is represented.
The angle you're actually aiming at the TV doesn't directly correspond either way.  So left/right won't make a difference.

You're pointing at the object on screen, and the sprite is just animated to aim at the same place, so it's arbitrary.
Wow. Good point. That didn't even cross my mind. After what you just said, I feel dumb because it is so obvious. Thank you.
