Flowalk is an enemy that was recently designed by Jathys for Alliance. It looks like a modified version of Spore Spawn....
It may be a silly peeve, but I've really gotten sick of people comparing it to Spore Spawn. Phantoon is more similar to Spore Spawn than the Hammer is, the only real similarity is the chain to the wall. Also, the author is jman2050, but he's abandoned the hack last I've heard so we'll probably never see the Hammer used in a hack.
Could he release the code for it, or something? Times like this make me really wish I knew ASM and hex coding, because then I'd make a LOT of new enemies. Programming is my life , but I'm still working on learning some languages. I completely taught myself the BASIC on calculators, until I'm able to teach it, and actually think in it at times, and I'm learning C++ right now. Still working on that, and also learning Python at the same time. Actually, I'm taking a little time out of the Python club I'm in right now to type this post lol .
Heh, I thought programming would be my life just as much as you, Bioniclegenius. I, too, taught myself TI-BASIC and learned C++, as well as Java and HTML (which, for purposes of this conversation, is not a programming language,) from the public school system.
Nowadays, I'm just sputtering around between college work, job searching, and maybe throwing together awesome (at least to me) weapons in ZDoom's DECORATE code. Ah, to be young and foolish again...

Eh, good luck asking him for it. By the way, why haven't you, of all the passionate hackers, found your way onto #JZD yet?
I did. Back when I first found SMILE . Loved that SMILE... unfortunately, I needed to ask questions about SMILE there, they got sick of me, and I left. I don't have that many questions now; that was only to get myself started off. Plus, I thought that was just SMILE help... it's coding help, too? Also, I'm really not having any issues with coding. Unless you count my teacher not telling me how to display an image on the command prompt, which she says we do later, and I can't find it. The closest I could find was a site saying that you needed to type the path to a picture viewer as a string, and on the same line type the path to the picture, also a string.

I don't think this is technically accurate; you asked questions with very simple and obvious answers that had already been answered in the SMILE Help Thread. Plus, you used a lot of IM colloquialisms, which annoys everybody when you're not actually in IM (notice that IM != IRC).

#JZD is really a place for universal Metroid hacking, but many users there are schooled in several programming languages (MathOnNapkins, interdpth, even myself to an extent), making it as good a place as any to ask for programming help or advice.

Command Prompt cannot display an image per se; it can only display the characters available in Lucida Console or its raster fonts, as far as I'm aware. What that site was telling you to do was to open an image via its filepath with an image-viewing program also via filepath.

Like I said in VR's thread recently. You will have a hard time doing everything with ASM. Practically it is much easier to use high level languages like C++ to code your individual boss. You don't need to learn many programming languages to understand the programming itself. I recommend you to learn C++ first. It is important you google a well rated book. Don't understimate good literature. Not all of the teachers are good.
I recommend you to take my humble advice. You won't regret in future if programming is really your wish.
I tend to type out whole entire sentences before I press enter, anyways. It's a good habit. Also, it irks me when people chat parts of sentences when they obviously could've typed the whole thing out, or even just someone's name to try to get their attention. Geez.

QFT. I even visit there myself sometimes, when I get to be at home where the IRC isn't blocked. =P Jathys is even around there to help out. Be sure to thank him next time you see him for creating #JZD in the first place!
