-training chamber tunnels are only temporary relief from light show. so if the gathering hall spider tracks take away light show temporarily also, then why bother going all the way to training chamber? spider tracks would be murderously hard to get to, especially with the game at 1/5 speed!
-and if you come from training chamber to gathering hall, the transit tube will still be loaded and mean that any IS will place you in the transit tube cannon (which, according to your experiments, doesnt even function like a real cannon so its worthless for MBI) and not the gathering hall cannon
-maybe it wasnt clear in my post but even if the bomb slots are both inactive, you'll still pick up the missile expansion. i mean yeah gathering hall might work somehow but my goal for wanting MBI at all is to work on that low% dark suit skip so the missile kills that. similarly, i think in gfmc it would be easier to navigate to the second missile launcher (after using 101% glitch for your first one) by the item sound and have that cutscene take away the light show, but that would of course add a percent. so we're stuck with that damn map station

Yeah, I figured I was spouting insanity alright. :(

Well, that would still be worth looking into for the rest of us.  If you can still hear the item sound, that would make MBI a little easier to get for non-low % situations if it can remove the light show.  I can't remember though... does the missile launcher even have a cutscene in Echoes?
well in training chamber it's conceivable that you could get the temporary fix then work your way to hydrodynamo where you could maybe reach the the save station. or more likely, make it down to the bottom scan post, unmorph, and scan it to show the cutscene that lowers the floor. you'd have to set this up ahead of time of course. might not work for low% as you wouldn't have gravity boost to get out of the bottom of hydrodynamo, unless you already had spider ball and just went to fight spider guardian from there...

and a quick youtube check reveals that no, there is no missile launcher cutscene. darn, i could've sworn there was one

I guess you've never tried scanning during the light show, huh?  I may not have mentioned it either, but it doesn't work.  You can scan something at times, but often you're not in range and you have no idea what it is you're looking at.  I don't know of any way to fix this if one exists.
you CAN scan during light show, i have scanned plenty of things. when you're trying to MBI in gfmc compound, everything is out of range because you can't scan things in an erroneous room so the only scannable things are the few things in sacred bridge which are all too far away. if you navigate to the terminal fall it will switch rooms and possibly help with navigating to the map station
Question I've never had any real success at scanning... but if it works and I was just constantly unlucky (I tried many times in many rooms, never succeeded once), I'm too busy with another game to question it at the moment.
I've tried scanning in Prime 1 with lightshow but It didn't work out. The again, it's hard to tell if you're facing whar you're actually trying to scan.
i havent tried in prime 1 but i know it works in prime 2. it can be sketchy though i admit. even if you unmorph and know exactly what you're facing you may still end up missing it and scanning something else. but i HAVE scanned things- war wasps, trooper lore, doors. it takes about five times as long to finish scanning due to the slowed down speed in the light show.
but i found out the hard way that terminal falling in gfmc while trying to get MBI won't help by switching the room over. since gfmc is secretized, the terminal fall doesn't exist and you just end up at the bottom of the cliff. man this is frustrating

I didn't want to say anything about this, I figured my memory was too rusty to be trusted... oh well.

I came up with it and I only did the thing once as a proof of concept.  I feel your pain, but I know not your sanity for actually considering this glitch.

If I could just have the defitions for these terms:

Ether or (aether?) Jump
Wallcrawl
Skywalk
Door warp
Secretized

In one place... I can contiue...  WITH MY GAME!!!  Maybe.

Love Ajax
Ether or (aether?) Jump -it's a trick you can use in a sw to gain height. do it at the invisible boundary line between where you float up and where gravity pulls you back down. you have to press B very quickly as you step out of the floaty part (the aether) to get the jump. then push back into the aether at the height of the jump so you don't fall back down. repeat as much as necessary
Wallcrawl -generic term for any kind of out of bounds travel
Skywalk- if you get high enough above a room you won't experience gravity either. it usually is just above the highest part of the room that has collision so you can get to it by aether jumping, or space jumping or bomb jumping off the roof of a room. this area or the act of walking around in it is the skywalk
Door warp- standing where a room should be and making it load around you to put you inside the room
Secretized - when a room is in the game's memory but invisible. if you CAN see it is called "erroneously loaded" room or just erroneous. the useful properties of secretized and erroneous rooms are that you can pass through the ceiling by morphing, and you can stick to the walls to acquire the infinite speed glitch wherever you want

what exactly are you trying to do?

Yep, thanks LeCoureur103.  That response definitely helps.  I am trying to get the early PB expansion in Hive Dynamo.  I've gotten as far as actually getting the PB but I can't seem to get my self back into Temple assembly site proper. I understand basic stuff like not having three rooms loaded.  I actually crawled four or five rooms away and couldn't get back in the game there either.  So I've been floating testing, trying again etc.  I really need the freedom of the ether jump (if that's the right way to say it) so I can get on top of the doors but I don't understand the technique yet.  I'm definitely a little frustrated after getting so close.  I'm also having trouble keeping the game thinking I'm it TAS and getting HD secretised/glitchy at the same time.  It keeps completely dumping TAS a lot.

this vid shows an easier way than how djgrenola did, you can get to the door without aether jumping at all

Yeah, but I don't like the warp into TAS.  I've gotten permanently stuck more often than not.  The safest way would be to keep Dynamo Chamber erroneously loaded and when you grab the expansion, jump onto the second floor wall, morph, and warp in (go through the wall using unmorph... still don't have a proper name for that technique).  The reason the wall works is because it's slanted inward at a good angle.

@AJAX: Keeping TAS properly loaded is simple.  Walk onto its side of the door, and jump from there onto Dynamo Chamber's roof.  The spot is kinda specific, but not hard to find at all.  You can find it just by jumping straight up and watching the minimap, and when it goes to TAS, jump up and over onto the roof.

For ether jumping, apply the same timing you would to a BSJ.  In that, you hit X, then B very quickly.  Replace X with the analog stick and you should get your jump.

I'm heading into three days off and can't wait to get this done.  Thanks for the info,  That should do it for me now.  Much appreciated guys.

Edit:  OMG YES!!!  I just got the Dynamo Chamber PB exp. by using SWs.  I am stoked.  In the end I used the method in DJGrenola's 17% (segment 7 if anybody is interested). I have to thank DJGrenola and LeCoureur103 one more time for the help.  The eureka moment came for me when I realized Dj jumped once then shot the door and jumped again to trick the game into thinking I was in TAS while keeping Dynamo chamber open and glitchy.  Wow, getting back into the game proper seems much harder than Prime 1.  Also I did the whole procedure in at least under 4 maybe five minutes. But that was after a week of trying.  I'm still really new to Echoes.

Does anybody have any suggestions of where to use the early PB first?  I know I have Boosty coming up soon. Or any game breakers I should avoid? I'm ready to go have some fun.
Hi everybody, I'm in the seeker missile room without the boost ball.
I'd wanna know if there's a way to get it without fighting Boost Ball Guardian.
Thanks a lot.
...
There is.  Apparently, you can spin the spinners without Boost Ball by rolling into the spinner at the right time and moving inside it while holding L/R.  I've tried it countless times, but it is near impossible.
That's what I was thinking ^^, but thanks you
Oh but it's possible. And I think that's possible to do the game without losing the gear at the begining. In the landing room, we can to a bsj to reach the higher blue door, and I'm trying to find if there's a way to get to the seeker missile room, If that's possible it'll be too great ^^
Many people tryied that so im I think that its impossible. But you can find something new.
I wanna know another thing. Is it possible to get at The Sanctuary without fighting Chykka ? How ?

Yes.  You can get an early Power Bomb Expansion.
Bananas GOOD, Kremlings BAD
Glitch in Portal Room in Agon.  I found it by accident a while ago.  Unfortunately I couldn't get in a SW...

...
You were pretty close to getting into a SW there, though.  You might be able to if you keep trying.
