everybody knows it's true
Indeed.  Laughing
wow, well done!! that's one for the site.
I run this here hotel of an evening

The game? No... you just have to reset the buttons. I think you hold start, X, and Y for several seconds.

you mean Start, B, and X? that resets the game

oh, and XD at the tiny metroid
Start + X + Y resets the controller. Start + B + X resets the game.
For the Wavebird, merely shutting the controller off then turning it back on will do.

Ah I would say it was too cold there.
I think you should explain it a bit more, just a tiny little bit though, not to much, because this is just a bit too generally.

Okay, I jumped up above where you have to scan to unlock the door to Ice Ruins East, turned and started heading towards the first floating platfoem and it just froze.

i didn't know you could reset the controller itself like that...
Neither did I until a few days ago.
Weird... I just boost balled Meta Ridley and it skipped the "OW MY WINGS ARE GONE" cutscene.

already known. it's used in a lot of speed runs, as it hurts ridley really bad. also save missiles

I know the boost ball method is known, I meant the cutscene-skippage. Do unskippable cutscenes use time?
After you acquire the phazon suit, if you save at the save station near the elevator to chozo ruins (I think it was magmoor save A) samus will have two heads! It works on the NA player’s choice version (00-02) but I am not sure if it works in other versions.
sounds interesting! what do you mean with "samus will have two heads", you mean during the cutscene? And the save station is the one connected to burning trail?

edit; when you look closely you can indeed see two heads, hard to see though. Good find!
I havent tested it with the fusion suit although. Dunno if it works. But i believe it is the one connected to the burning hall, the first save station near the elevator you come through during your verry first visit. And yes, its in the cutsene.
Are you sure it's two heads? The Phazon suit has a bit of an aura around it. It kinda glows. You may have just seen that.
BINGO!

ok so here is a low quality movie.... but i hope you can do somting with it
I can't see the movie :P

Turns out the Power Beam bug works with the Wave and Ice beams too, but not the Plasma.
One time i was in a SW trying to get out. i jumped onto and somehow INTO a door. The screen turned black, nothing i do responds, and the only thing i hear is the BGM. I pressed the reset button and it didnt work! Shocked I was very scared for a second. What if the game messed up my GCN. I tried the power button and it worked. I reloaded it and the reset button worked. PHEW. any guesses why that happened?
PAGE BREAKER
Ready and willing.
The Pikachu in your Gamecube got tired. That's why you've got to keep it well-ventilated.
The reset button is software based. It doesn't work if the game is frozen. The Power button cuts the power to the hardware, so it always works.

EDIT: Froze coming from Gathering Hall to Arboretum, just as the Arboretum door opened.

EDIT: This isn't really a glitch, but it sure is funny. When Hive Mecha shoots wasps at you, lock onto one and shoot a missile at it just before it starts to fly. The missile should chase it around in a circle a couple times. You'll see them both pass by. If you shoot one and jump to a different platform, it'll keep going until the missile fizziles.

im sure it works, its just not visible.
That Missile locking onto a War Wasp thing is pretty funny, haha.
It also proves that missiles have a finite range.
