It legitimately did not cross my mind at any point since its announcement that MEA could be anything less than (heh) stellar. Kind of disappointing to see the reception it's getting across the web right now but at least I can save my money for other things, like a PS4.

Or you could grab Nier Automata and support good old weirdo games!

Nah, I'm all about those Crash Bandicoot remakes, and I still gotta play Uncharted 4.

who doesn't love linear 3d platformers where you often have to run into the camera and can't see where you're going??????

Unfortunately for Crash Bandicoot I only played one for a bit after Mario 64, so my only thoughts on it were "why am I playing this instead of Mario"

I, uh, don't really like non Kirby platformers much in general.

I agree that's annoying when it happens but I wouldn't say "often." There are only a few chase levels across the whole trilogy. And the camera is really only horrendous for those levels in the first game.

lol yeah i was mostly trolling. i don't see the appeal of the crash games, but i get that they're popular. the collection looks great, hope you have fun with it

I'm holding out for a special edition PS4 model to be bundled with it. That may be foolish, but I figure there's a nonzero chance since Crash was such a big seller/icon on the original PlayStation. The worst that can happen is that there's no special edition and I wait a bit longer to buy the same console I would have otherwise.

seems reasonable. they do bundles with all kinds of random stuff these days so i wouldn't be surprised
Wrath of cortex.  First boss.  Cameraa perspective is so bad that it completely ruins the whole game.

I don't know what that is but it sounds like something not-Naughty Dog. :U

I liked Crash Bash and Huge Adventure though
I love how modern high DPI displays are good enough that I don't have to enlarge obnoxiously tiny text on forums to read it :p

lol right? on my phone especially it's crystal clear
I played Blaster Master Zero for a little over an hour today and it's pretty awesome.  They took everything from the original that sucked and fixed it, and then added a bunch of features like maps (overworld and underworld) and awesome sub menus.  Jason's gun now has not just 7 firepower levels, but 7 different firing modes that you can switch between as long as your G is full.  I don't want to spoil any more of it, but if you liked the first game then you will eat this remake up.  So far 2017 is turning out to be a great year for gamers.

Laffo I'm like 80% sure Bioware just let the interns handle the visual work at this point. Orange boy is deffo ripped from The Sims.

Also, me in the back jerkin off the inviso giants.

I should be disappointed that a series I like a lot got treated with such utter contempt but it's just too goddamned funny.
Club 27 Goals
there's no way those are the in-game graphics. Right?
Club 27 Goals
Also the way my buddy and I are going into it is to treat it like a comedy. Kinda like the dbz movie.
rotfl. didn't they claim the game to have the best graphics possible on modern hardware? what a train wreck.

Not for fans of Mass Effect it seems lol.

Eh, I mean this is the most fun I've had with any game released so far this year!

lol sure are! It's weird cause some things look fine, not amazing or anything but not bad, and then they walk over to that group of NPCs and uhhhhhhhhhhh.

I mean the three humans and the purple lady wouldn't look out of place in Mass Effect 1. It's so jarringly bad it's verging on being actual art.
Snake Pass is an Indie game coming out a week from now and it looks like a ton of fun.  The concept and controls are very innovative.

that looks surprisingly interesting
So I  beat Persona 5 a while ago.

The game's pretty much on par with 3 and 4 imo. Problem is, that doesn't cut it anymore. There's lots of small changes that make the experience a little different, but not different enough, and they certainly don't make the game any better. A lot of the changes actually made the experience a bit worse for me(but that's just me). The story is really good, but it explained a hunk of it via exposition near the end of the game. Had it been told throughout the game in some way it could have been an even better experience throughout.
I played 3&5 to death a few years ago. Don't see myself repeating this 5, at least for now. Too many other games to play, too little time.

this is a cool series by some guy about the speed run world record progression history for certain games. there's one on super metroid. not sure how well researched they are, but they seem pretty good.
