Gamespot has an article about the near finished version of the game, but for the most part we know almost everything they mention in it. Anyone who wants to look at it anyway can look here:

Thread title:
red chamber dream
Love how it tells me tons of stuff I didn't know but likewise don't care a bit about - such as the names of every single person who was involved in something with the development of the game or the press conference.
Still a nice article, though, I guess.

It's mind-boggling how ambivalent I am towards this game right now. I know what to expect, and yet not at the same time. I have a good feel for how it's going to pan out (read; not a "true" Metroid game), yet I don't know how I feel about that.
I know what you mean, Yoshi. I'm psyched due to the fact that there's another "Metroid" game just three weeks away, but from everything I've seen so far, and given what we know has happened to the series the last few years, I'm not sure how well I am going to take it.

It all comes down to how I feel after I complete the game, but I do know that I will be getting the game when it comes out. It's an interesting dilema: I really want to play the game, but am afraid that it won't live up to our expectations of what a Metroid game should be.

We'll just have to wait and find out for ourselves. I have a good feeling that this will be one of those games where you either love it or hate it. (I'm hoping that it won't end up on the latter part of that spectrum for myself, but you never know.)
Look, witty text!
If Metroid Prime: Hunters doesn't turn out to do series justice, it'll at least be the closest thing out there to a handheld Goldeneye.

...Which makes you wonder why nobody's jumped onto that gold mine and released a portable 007 game on the DS yet.  Maybe they're all waiting to see if it's feasible, depending on how Hunters does..

Lol, I'm pretty sure it'll throw purists into a fit and have little to do gameplay-wise with the rest of the series, but I'm okay with that since it's not like it's the only "branch" of Metroid games being made. I guess... I'm still not really sure how much I like these kinds of games. Which means I should probably give it a shot if I have money to burn, as I often do. At the very least I'll be able to moderate this forum.  :P
always a bonus.
Well, there's this new video from Nintendo

I've pretty much lost confidence in the single player aspect of the game, but at least it seems online is shaping up to look great.

Gotta look at the bright side, right?
