This doesn't happen in regular gamplay. But if you used gameshark or another cheating device and get an early power bomb, and go through chozo ruins/chozodia to the place with the guardian, and beat him with a power suit and beam, you will get EVERY upgrade besides (super)missiles and power bombs. If you go the right way to chozodia and do it with minimum upgrades you will only get what you collected. Why does this happen?
*PS i did NOT have the everthing code on*

uhhh...no, considering that phpBB tags are used here, not HTML.
whats the diffrence?

the HTML bold and the bold used on forums gets the same effect.
Only a limited number of HTML tags work here, though.
yeah...no wonder the <marquee> and </marquee> tags didn't make my sig scroll...

Anyway, get back on topic, people.

What the :?

Youre the guy who derailed this topic in the first place. No wonder youre name is KING of CHAOS.

Anyway... Responding to this topic: maybe its because the game considers this a low % percent run and only adds a certain amount of weapons/gear, whereas if you did it in the first place (as soon as you started playing), then i guess it then gives you full of everything. Trust me, games are really weird sometimes. Built in glitches are fun, but they have their limit. Same thing as with AR cheats, they're fun but they can sometimes be even more limited than in game glitches.
The Varia is added even if you go suitless (and didn't collect the Varia). This is why it's required in a 9% run, the game forces it on you.

You mean the game KNOWS if I'm trying to go for low percent or everything? But even so i backtracked via chozodia collecting minimal upgrades, but i get everything where as if i played it through the right way, I only get what i collected. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that i stilled had a power suit.

oh btw, i shot the pie rate carrying the powerbomb and nope, the shot passes right through him.
Hmmm... If you skip the Varia and the game force-feeds it to you, can you go back and collect it, thus possibly getting 101%? Or does it disapear?
Heck, you could check every item and see if it still there, as the game is force-feeding you nearly all of them (If not all of them).

no ive tried it.

So you're saying that it doesn't dissapear and you can get 101%? Or that you can't get 101%?
no im saying it dissappears...but that would be neat...have the varia suit twice...cool.

I know, but I meant the Varia because it force-feeds you that one sans cheats, meaning a legal 101%, like in MP2. Not an AR 5 digit percent, like that one topic in MP1.
AFter all my time of ARing. I spend most time on Zerop mission doing what if;s Sequnce Breaking with the AR as a tool or guide. I'm Pretty sure it doesn't add a percent. and or Dissapeers.
Confirmed: The Varia disapears when the game gives it to you.
Errr...d'you mean the original Varia from Brinstar vanishes when you get the Varia from Chozodia? Only your post was a tad confusing to understand...
he meant that the original Brinstar one vanishes. Its funny that when you get the everything power up, you get those bulgy shoulder things. That wouldn't be the plasma beam cuz its on the arm, wouldn't be the space jump because its on your feet, and prolly wouldn't be the gravity suit cuz you get to see the varia version before the suit change applies, so what exactly are they?
The bulgy shoulder things are part of the fully powered suit. You probably have them because there is no Gravity Suit sprites without the Fully Powered Suit, because you're not suposed to get it without the FPS.
