ok, since apparently this job requires an experienced person to do it right, i took hella time out of my insane schedule to record the entire soundtrack myself.

but i need some help making sure everything is correct before i finalize the tags and encode everything for posting on tph. to that end i have uploaded the originals here:

http://nate.quandra.org/prime3/

please verify that:

1) the names are correct (especially the one starting "unknown" because i have no idea what it is); if you have suggestions for better names, let's hear them
2) they loop exactly once (except very short tracks, which loop two or four times), then fade out
3) there are no defects such as pops or clicks that are not also present in the original
4) there are no missing tracks.

it should also be noted that i haven't normalized them yet, so these will sound quieter than will the final versions.

thank you.
Thread title:
GF Battle Theme doesn't fade out, it just ends somewhat abruptly.
Same with Intro.

You have Bryyo Fire, Bryyo Thorn Jungle then Ice Bryyo.  Would make more sense as Bryyo Ice?

Mission Final -> Final Mission?

Numbering tracks chronologically would be nice.

DIdn't notice anything else.
I'm pretty sure the "Unknown" one is the music that plays when the leviathan is headed towards Norion

Anyways, why are they all in Wav format? MP3 is a lot smaller, in terms of file size

ok cool, thanks. "mission final" is when it says your time and % after you beat the game. and yeah the track #s will be in the id tags of the mp3s, though i wasn't sure until now how i was going to order them.

thanks. i guess i'll call it "leviathan attack". and they'll be in mp3 when i post them for real.
Cook of the Sea
"Big Helicopter" should be changed to something that is not "Big Helicopter".
kyd ftw.
red chamber dream
Cayman Islands dollar?
Cook of the Sea
No.  Shut up.

nate: do you have the order of the tracks as they appear ingame?
no, if you have that that'd save me some time.
I think the track "beat boss" would be better-titled as "leviathan destroyed"

Also, you're missing Gandrayga's theme.  It plays during the cutscene when she shows up in generator C on Norion.

Also, the unknown is definitely played when the Leviathan is first shown heading to Norion, and at least one more time during the cutscene before Phaase.

Isn't that the exact same song that plays during the battle?

EDIT: The unknown song is the Space Pirate theme (not battle, it plays whenever pirates show up)
ah good call on the gandrayda. dunno what i was thinking when i skipped that cutscene. i'll verify its uniqueness or lack thereof asap. also as for beat boss vs beat leviathan, is beat boss bad because people think of the hunters as bosses?
I figured leviathan destroyed would be better because that music doesn't play until you've destroyed the leviathan core and are watching the cutscene of Samus flying away.

And as far as Gandrayga's theme goes, I seem to recall the music in the cutscene being MUCH slower-paced than the fight music.
It's same pace - But it is different. The choir sounds... different. And yes, percussion is very slightly different.

I have a list of most, if not all the songs as well. Lemme check you haven't missed any. I might take a while - I might have to sign off too, and come back tomorrow instead.

Edit: Apart from previous mentioned, it seems you have them all. Good work. :D

Now all we need is previous Metroid Prime tracks. I still can't find Flaargha or that Drone battle in MP1. Oh well.  :(
thanks.

do you need incinerator drone or invisible security drone?

I'm wondering what implications you were trying to make by saying that.
to me, the only purpose in doing anything is to share it with other people.

the more the better.
The first drone, where you get the missiles. Hive Drone I believe (the Incinerator Drone is also good, but cuts the introduction of the song).

Thank you very much dude, greatly appreciate it. :D

Best track in the game.
Bangaa Bishop
Is the soundtrack extras menu not the complete soundtrack? (By the way, they are listed in that menu in the order you hear (or at least the order you unlock) them. You cant buy an extra until it is unlocked.
no. it's only like 1/3 of it.
Anywhere, everywhere
The one called "Norion Timed Mission" is also used before Phaaze, so I call it GF Tension or something along the lines of that. The "Unknown with String Intro" is a Pirate Aerial Attack, since it is used when the ships attack on Bryyo, the ships attack the Spire, and the ships attack the GF outside of Phaaze.

EDIT: Also, "Pirate Keep Away" is used throughout the game, so it's more like a miniboss theme.

EDIT2: It's Rundas, not Rundus. His spelling changed and the official website's wrong. Rolling Eyes

EDIT3: "Higher Tension" is on Norion, so it could either be Norion's theme, or GF Tension. I think you should switch "olympus" to GF Calm because it is used in many places, like Norion, parts of Bryyo and Elysia, and Aurora Chamber rooms.

EDIT4: Okay, this edit's actually important. I believe you missed a song. It's right after you get the seekers and the metroids attack. You could call it "Metroid Invasion" or something. That's one of my favorite tracks! >:O
Thanks for the sound track. Only one comment.

Some of the tracks I can't remember if they are completed. For example Gandrayda's Battle. How the song ended in your wave file sounded strange to me. I felt like it cut off to soon. Maybe you could let it run a little longer and fade out a little later into the 1st repeat.

Rundas battle also ends very strangely. I don't really remember it just cutting off then starting over again.
