I had a damn good feeling that my worries would be for naught. This game is amazing.
So far, I like it better than the first one, and I thought that would be impossible. I did not beat the game yet, so I will not click on threads that deal with that subject or anything plot, item or character wise in which I have not been privy to yet. With that said...
WOW! I've died several times now and am loving it. Some mini bosses/main bosses, I feel, were pretty cheap, but overall, I'm having a blast with the game. I welcome the added difficulty, it makes the experience that much better and rewarding.
The visuals, sounds, character models... everything, is just so amazing that I forget that I'm playing a game sometimes. I'm just over 13 hours in. My last pick up before writing this was the spider ball. He pissed me off, not so much him, but the timing in the last puzzle. For some reason I found it a trife frustrating, but satisfying.
The only Boss I got super pissed at was the (forget his name) creature in the Torvus Bog, two parts to him, first fish then moth. The fish part was way easy and I thought that was it. Then the game throws me a curve ball and introduces the mature form of the being. It would've been easy as well, but I couldn't figure out how to target his wings at first... I died once on him. The second time I taught him not to mess with an Intergalactic Bounty Hunter.
For the most part, this game makes me speechless. I showed it to my friend and within five minutes he wanted to buy it as well. Actually he was gonna buy it regardless, but with his five minutes of playtime, it solidified his decision. He was speechless as well.
So far, I'm giving this game a 10/10. Even with some minor gripes, as with the re-occurring enemies from Talon IV with different names and colors. Not very original in the design dept., but I'll let it slide, ya know.
I can't put this game down, I'm so addicted. And that alone make it worth my measly $50.
Later.
