Okay, I'm in Kraid, and I have activated the zip-lines and have collected the unknown item.  I triggered a glitch.  Ya know the part where you fall in the lava and it brings you to a waterfall of it?  Well, I broke the unknown item thingy for the first time and encountered the bugs for the first time.  Now, they are right there all the time.  So, whenever I get on the platform above the lava, I get knocked down and into the waterfall.  It's basically a gamekilling glitch.  So, just to wrap this up, do not encounter the bugs backwards!

I could not reproduce the glitch. I activated the lines, grabbed the unknown item, then walljumped my way all the way back to the main shaft. Then I went into the reo room backwards. Sure enough, about half of them were by the purple space jump block. So I fell into the acid, killed kraid, went back...and everything was normal.

Even if this did occur, a restart would fixt the problem I imagine. Or a nice shinespark.

Hmm... if those little unknown deals didn't reappear you could prolly build up a shinespark in the room with the ET (above reo room) and then fall down to the door, open it, and shoot in... maybe you'd have to freeze to little eyeball bug below the door and ball-spark into the door at ground level... and I'm just rambling. I gotta start posting earlier, while I'm still sane.

you mean  the bugs are "sitting" on the platform all the time? ... weird... try bombing them off w/ morph ball bombs as soon as you let go to see if they don't come back the next time....

Wait, maybe I was a little too vauge.  Everyone knows the room where if you fall through the lava, you will come out in a lavafall.  Well, everyone also knows that there's a huge zipline track with bugs that come out and attack you.  Well, I entered the room BACKWARDS after I got the unknown item.  Then, I bombed the item block, and got attacked by the bugs.  Then, I fell down the lavafall, got back up, and re-entered that room the right way.  The bugs stayed at the part where the item block is.  They didn't come from the other end of the room.  Because of this, I can't get on the tiny platform, nor shoot the item block because the bugs are in the way.  And that's the only way out.

Or you can fall to the bottom of the vertical shaft and go kill Kraid...Cyber and I got it all right.

Have you tried shinesparking through the room? If they're in a nice cluster like that, it might take them all out.

You most definately can shinespark through that room. You have to build it in the room below, I believe, and carry it up there.
