I discovered a way to reach a hidden missile tank atop the rightmost vertical shaft in Brinstar. Used the Angled Infinite Bomb Jump Technique. Link to video (in AVI format):

EDIT: Since I gave no explanation when I posted this (I was kinda excited :P), this obviates the Power Grip, and can be performed at anytime once you have the bombs.

EDIT 2: I reposted in the next reply another link to the same movie in MP4 format.

very nice. i tried to do this for a few minutes last time i played and failed. didn't use the same method as you (i tried to diagonal at precisely the right time after verticaling) and that's probably why i failed.
