What Game has the Best Music during the Credits? I pick Super Metroid
Thread title:
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
I say Metroid Prime.  It expands on the select screen music--quite well, if you ask me.

Though I have to give Zero Mission points for sticking exactly to the original's music.
Prime. Fantastic music, I can't figure out the people who thought it was the game's weak point.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
I actually think the majority of the music in Prime sucks, but the credits music stood out for me.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Prime, out of the three Mertoid games I've played its got the best ending music.

What's not to like? Specifically, which tracks? And did you think they were actually bad, or just didn't fit with the metroid feel (i.e., peaceful-sounding techno in P.drifts)?
Super Metroid.  Enough said.

When I meant sucks, I meant sucks compared to the rest of the Metroid games (save for Metroid II).  I may have been a little harsh when I just said sucks, but, eh, whatever.

Specifically:

--Later Phendrana (most annoying song in a Metroid game ever)
--Space Pirate Theme (again, just annoying.  It has a good idea to it, but put together rather badly and randomly)
--Magmoor Caverns (it's not the music, but the facts that it's no different sounding from SM, and the hell-bent march doesn't fit Magmoor as well as it fit lower Norfair)
--Chozo Ruins Main Theme (what song?)
--Frigate Escape (The sirens and melody make my ears bleed.  Too many things layered at once)
--Upper Phazon Mines (No substance.  Not even a very good atmosphere song)
--Post Thardus Talon Overworld (completely ruins the atmosphere of the Overworld that was set up by the superb earlier song)

Those are just the ones that come to mind right now.  Though it does have some superb songs (Early Talon Overworld, Phendrana Drifts, Crashed Frigate, and the Chozo Crater Temple all pop in my head immediately, aside from the credits and select screen theme).

Keep in mind that this is my own personal opinion.  No need to get uptight over it or anything. Wink
as much as i absolutely love primes Credit theme.
I also REALLY dig metroid 2's...

hmm.. choices.
Metroid Prime music was good overall. As for the Ending Music, Super Metroid took it away.
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
I like Metroid 2's the best.

Prime's file select and credits song make me want to stick a pen in my ears from its crappyness.  Too much static crap/sound effects and a bland tune.

*barf*

I agree. Especially with "Pirates ambush" - worst song ever.

Poll: Super Metroid
Super.  I remember getting a tingle down my spine when I heard the thing at the very end.  Ah, so good.

Alright, my opinion. First three: Rocks! Of course, sometimes the pirate song gets annoying, but i liked it nonetheless.

4-6: Yeah, those sucked. They were like, not even songs. And i always freak out at escape songs, i hate them.

Last one: I liked it, but it was truly dwarfed by the first Tallon Overworld song.
OK, where the heck is the first game?! Unless Zero Mission uses the same theme (can't remember) someone's got some explaining to do.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
The original and Zero Mission use the exact same credits music.

exact same? or are you also going to tell me that Zero Mission and the original metroid have the "exact same" Kraid theme?
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
You know what I meant.  Fine.  Not "exact" same, but the same base song.  It's closer to the original than the Kraid's Lair song is.
Prime, definitly. Closely followed by the original game. Zero Mission's version is nearly identical, just slightly speedier and with sounds that actually resemble some sort of instruments, instead of those anonymous 8-bit sound effects.
How can you say Magmoor Caverns sucks? It's like Lower Norfair, except better! And the credits of MP just remind me of one thing right now: MP2. So there's my vote.
I'd have to say RoS's... Seeing as how it was one the... what? Only 4 actual songs in the game?

And I really liked Prime's music... especially outer Phendrana... but not the space pirate theme, it was fine until the psycho section with the (I think) electric guitars.
Ugh, I don't know how you guys can put up with SM's ending music. Sure, maybe it has a good lead but the synth used just makes my ears bleed. I'm gonna go with ZM, only because I like sticking to the classics.

Maybe its because you have the PAL version. I do agree about Prime's music, just not the best. Yes the space pirate theme is annoying but my vote for worst song ever goes to the Chozo ghost theme! Argh! I hate it so much that it makes me forget to mute my TV or turn off the music. Flaaghra's is quite bad too, it just makes me wanna try the PAL version so I can hear the PROPER music.

I somewhat disagree about the Space Pirate Frigate escape music, it isn't bad. I like it somewhat, its no Zero mission escape music (favorite escape song, fusion is second favorite) but it gets the job done, don't you agree?

Ready and willing.
Um, Flaggy's music is the ONLY music change in PAL, and technically it's a bugfix. Our music has it's length encoded as way shorter than the piece, so it repeats way to early.
