IT'S ALL DEAD, DOOMED AND DESTROYED.
end of story.

>_>
The planet clearly blows up in the end cutscene. It has as much of a chance to get revived as Zebes does after Super Metroid.

No, it doesn't. What you clearly see is BSL blowing up and the blast covering SR388. I don't think the planet was actually destroyed, and there's even a chance that something survived (highly doubtful but still possible).

It will include the planet in the station's VAPORISATION FIELD.

For God's sake, people, SR388 is GONE. Accept it.
Goddamn, the whole purpose of blowing the thing up was GETTING RID OF THE X. Now, a supercomputer must be smart, right? So it would know to blow up SR388. ggnorekthx
Actually the computer is Adam. Therefore, the computer is stupid.
The computer that makes human errors.

..

I think the epilogue would be a bit different if the planet was not destroyed... I mean, all Samus has to do is check her rear view mirrors.

He is evil, and smart. So he knows like no other to annoy you the best. The stupidness is just a facade. :P

As for whether or not the X could survive - there are two bacterial strains (the one that causes tetanus, and the one that causes botulism) that can go into an 'endospore'. When in an endospore, the bacteria could survive in the vacuum of space (the only real way to kill it is with immense pressure). Even though X is a virus, and not a bacteria, at least it's not far fetched that it could survive in space.

Viruses are non-living so they need a host to be "smart".

Eh? What does being "smart" have to do with anything?
also, i wouldn't say that a bacterium is particularly smarter than a virus, ability to reproduce by itself aside.

That's kind of comparable to saying a proton's smarter than an electron.

And we all know that those little guys know all about what they're doing at all times.
Well....seeing as how the Federation was breeding Metroids, chances are they have more of 'em. Plus, if they have a SR-388 environment on the BSL, why not on the Fed. home planet? I hope the X do survive, because I think it would be "cool beans" to seem then in 3-D or something.....

GO X!
The metroids were created by the chozo to fight off the X.
Thats why the metroids resist the X, becouse they were created to.
If the metroids are the main creatures for all the metroid games, then dont you think that the X will be if they were the BIG threat.
