I had ignored the existence of Medal Of Honor Heroes 2 until reading IGN.com and noticing that they had proclaimed its controls to be superior to Corruption. This is intriguing if true.

Has anyone played both games? If so, please offer your take on this.

Ready and willing.
Oh, controls. That makes more sense. I thought this was just some random comparison.
Ah yes. Good point. I will modify the title to make that clear.
Wait, they say these controls are BETTER than Corruption's? Hmm... perhaps because you can use the Zapper in it? (According to the advertisement that came with the Zapper itself)

I wouldn't know since I haven't played it yet, but judging from Link's Crossbow Training (Which proved to be A LOT more fun than I first imagined when I got it a few days ago) they could very well be right. But out of everything I've played so far Corruption still has the best first person control scheme I've seen for a console game.

i heard the zapper shell is crap and that you are better playing the games the normal way.
i haven't tried it so i don't know how true that is.
i also don't dig war-themed games. my bro might be interested in the game but i'll wait for lower price or used versions.
The IGN review praises the standard controls. They all but shrug off the zapper.

Not impossible
just highly unlikely
As I understand it, MOHH2's controls are considered better due to how insanely customizeable they are. You can set the size of the "dead zone"' where your crosshair moves but the screen doesn't, as well as tweak the sensitivity and all that.

I've never been one to enjoy WWII games, but I'm tempted to give MOHH2 a look. I mean, you cock the shotgun with the nunchuck. That's badass.

Those that don't like Nintendo's Wii Zapper should get something like this or this.

Both look bad ass.

Nyko's wins, imo, because it keeps the nunchuck seperate instead of pointlessly encasing it.

I'd only ever get a Zapper for Crossbow Training. The thing looks awful.
Anywhere, everywhere
I don't know why nintendo didn't go with their e3 2006 zapper model, because it looked a lot better. :/

me neither. the new model absolutely killed any desire i had to try it out.

btw, do the shells really enhance the experience or are they just "there"? i was interested in link's crossbow training but it feels like i'm being ripped off by getting that horrible shell.
I don't know: When I played Crossbow Training on Christmas (which is when I got the Zapper, so I can't complain much) I had a lot of fun with it. I think the manual that comes with it showed some option that you could play with the remote or the nunchuk outside of the shell, but I can't remember which one or if that's really what I saw.

But I felt that it worked just fine, and as my brother and I found out it seems harder to aim properly when we were standing up. We had to sit down on our couch and use the thing as if it was a real crossbow (IE, we had to look down the zapper itself) in order to get the best accuracy. Not sure how well that would work otherwise because I haven't tried it yet.

I haven't gone back to play the game yet, but only because of the other things I got taking up my time. (Mainly Phantom Hourglass at the moment.) So I can't say how well the Zapper works over the long run. But Crossbow Training turned out to be a lot more fun than either of us imagined, so I'd almost recommend grabbing the zapper just for that even if you don't like the shell itself. Imagine Duck Hunt, but much better and with more variety and set in the Twilight Princess universe.

There really needs to be a good game that's compatible with Nyko's gun imo (too bad you can't use it with RE4). It looks like it just feels so good, like the guns in the classic arcade shooting games.

Should be able to use it for everything you can use the Zapper for.

Well yeah, it's just there aren't any good Wii shooters yet imo.
Well... I haven't played Heroes 2 yet.. I should buy it soon actually...

But comparing games controls is so lame. I have Corruption and it's awesome. Heroes 2 looks decent enough... But you really should play them both then tell us what you think... Verses Topics are lame.

Oh yeah... Who needs the Zapper!? You're paying more just to make it play out like a gun. When the Remote still plays out like a gun.. Only without the extra bits you don't really need. But if you're buying Link's Crossbow Training with it... Then fair enough as that package is a bargain.

How so? Wii is all about the controls. Corruption was touted as having the best controls when it came out. I absolutely love the controls. They allow me to overlook some of the annoyances I have with the game and still greatly enjoy it.

So after reading that another game supposedly has even better controls, I was naturally curious if anyone here had played it.

Sorry if that is too lame for you.
