The Metroid site updated recently, and the Corruption site is active:
http://wii.nintendo.com/site/metroidprime3/index.jsp
Most of what is written there is already well known to us, but there will be profiles on the other three hunters on Tuesday of next week. (Aug 28) Sadly, there's not a whole lot to it, and nowhere near how interesting the sites for Prime and Echoes were compared to normal websites.
And if there was any doubt about Dark Samus being Metroid Prime before, the recap of Echoes in the story section makes it pretty clear with this sentence, in my opinion:
As Samus struggles to return peace to Aether, an ominous shadow lurks in the darkness, watching her every move, a creature born from the abyssal depths of Tallon IV.
Not that we didn't figure it out ages ago, but this is the most concrete proof for anybody who still thinks otherwise at this point.
