these screenshots, here, show many new features (at least I never knew about them).  They include changeable control setups and three save-slots.

EDIT:  Oops, those aren't three saves-slots, they're the spots where you see the three other people who will play with you online.  Also, about the tall screenshot of samus: it looks like it would be made by both screens.  Wouldn't it look weird with the space between the screens?
Thread title:

Not one, but FIVE control types. Pen, Dual Right, Dual Left... I wonder what TR and TL are. Intriguing.
Dual Left/Right are explained.
TR/TL is the E3 controls for lifties and righties.
Pen is E3 control with a couple differences: R/L shoots, and there's no lockon.

At least, that's how I understand the article I read. I'll have a link in a couple minutes.

[EDIT] From here:
Quote from IGN:
The biggest change is, obviously, the way the game controls. The default control goes away from the "tap screen to shoot" function of the E3 build. Instead, it's now more PC mouse style by moving the game screen up to the top screen, and making the touch screen simply the "mouselook" control that's familiar to anyone who's played a FPS on the computer. Shooting is handled by the L trigger, which means that the target lock of the GameCube games is no longer an issue...there's no target locking at all in Hunters. The D-pad (or A, B, X, Y buttons, for the lefties) is used for forward, back, and strafe left and right. Changing weapons and morphing into a ball is handled by specific toggle buttons on the DS touch screen. Double-tapping the screen makes Samus jump. Overall, the controls still made it tough to hold the system in one hand without cramping, so be prepared to prop the unused side of the DS against a table or your leg if you're going to play this game.

But if you REALLY want that "tap-tap" function, the E3 controls are still in the game. There are actually five different configurations for controls depending on what players prefer.

What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.

That's a cool screenshot, but I wish Nintendo would decide which Samus design they're using for MPH.  This screen shows the Echoes design, yet the official render for this game shows her in the Metroid Prime design...
Perhaps TR and TL mean Top (left handed) and Top (right handed) screens you play on?
Those screens are so awesome!!!

If I had more than enough cash to buy A DS and a game, Metroid Prime Hunters is so going on my list of things to have!!!

The game even has a scoring system!!! :D

I'm so exicited!!! :D
lol no way
Meh, I'm more excited about Mario 64 DS... that looks way cool, and has an extensive singleplayer. I'm pretty sure MP:H is gonna be mission based.

EDIT: Just watched the video... I guess it could be sort of fun. I'll still buy it regardless... but eh, off to Metroidhunters.com like the video said.

EDIT2: WTF?! It doesn't work! Probably doesn't exist until they release the DS and it has that video on it...
What video?  I know I'll sound really stupid if it's at the link I posted, but I didn't see anything.

EDIT:Oh, never mind, I just saw the other topic. Is that it?
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
The Mochtroids look fun to kill.
I'm sure it'll be one of the games I get to test out in two weeks. I wonder what other ones will be there since they haven't announced many launch titles
Yay! I finally found the video!  Now I'm sure.  It's the 14-15 minute long demonstration, at gamespot, right? The one where the guy is playing it while he tells you about it?  and he plays the three one-player modes on the demo?

It looks great!  It seems like everyday there is new information that makes me drool even more for this game.  By the day of release (11/21?) I'll be drowning in can't-wait-for-videogame-to-come-out-induced slobber :P

EDIT: and yes, the mocktroids do look fun to kill.  The guy even says that it's "satisfying"  Wink

EDIT 2: SpecialK, what do you mean by a game that you'll be able to test in two weeks? :?
As in I get a peak at the DS on October 19th as well as a few unreleased GC games ;)
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
You lucky duck.
Yes I am, but it's not like I did anything special. All it's costing me is twenty bucks and a trip to TO

What do you mean you didn't do anything special? You forked over $20 and the costs for a trip to Toronto (I assume)!
Yes, toronto (from Ottawa). But those were done for totally unrelated reasons. The DS and co. are all bonuses ;)
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
You're still a lucky duck.
Each time I look at those pictures it makes me want to get it even more!

I can't wait for this to come out along with MP2:Echoes!!! I only have 34 dollars and i'll get as much money as I can to get it!

*sees a nickle on the ground and puts it in his little piggy bank:D*
