Cook of the Sea
Server: irc.metroid2002.com
Channel: #metroid

Use the IRC client of your choice (mIRC for most people), or the CGI client if you like!

For people using Verizon FIOS dl.speeddemosarchive.com might be a better bet. Several FIOS users had disconnection issues on irc.metroid2002.com
Thread title:
You might want to fix that link.

You might wanna SHUT UP  Cool
...
Tell Kenny I said hi, and ask him exactly WHY I was banned from #metroid for no reason.  This is disappointing....

You're not banned anymore, come on by!

Perhaps a full explanation of exactly what this is / does would be in order.

Some people might read that, and see it as complete gibberish.

Just a thought. Very Happy

Clicking the CGI client link will help you figure things out rather quickly.

At least in the sense that it'll throw you into the mad house after you log in.

So...#metroid's being reincarnated? I'm assuming you've already accepted that it's not gonna be #metroid circa 2004 for a long time. Good luck, guys. I miss #metroid, but #sda is pretty cool, too.

To be honest, I feel other chats kind of redirected the regulars' attention, and although some people remained in #metroid, the people that made it a cool chatroom decided to flock to a better one. It basically cut the original room out of the loop and solidified #metroid as the inferior one. I miss Kei, Madrox and all them.

Plus I'm not there.

Fact: no Toozin = no chatroom. You cannot deny this.

Can't connect, either it doesn't find a server or I get a "connection refused" message. I can use my other IRC channels just fine though. :|

Is it just irc.metroid2002.com or does irc.speeddemosarchive.com not do it either?
red chamber dream
isn't it dl.speeddemosarchive.com?

Yes.

(I never use it so I hadn't been sure)

Okay, I'm confused, I've just been doing irc.metroid2002.com. I guess I'll try the others when I'm not at work.

irc.metroid2002.com always did it for me, and apparently still does so. ... oh never mind.

That being said, I just figured out I've practically been connected to the irc server each day via trillian since ages, but must've forgotten about it right after setting it up.
I instantly stopped using trillian for IRC back then, because I thought I couldn't hide the chat windows outside the task bar, however that has changed just a few minutes ago.

Count me back. #metroid might now return to being dead.

Perhaps it's changed since the version I used, but last I recall, I hated trillian's IRC client. I still use mIRC. IIRC the more recent versions of mIRC have the option to hide it in the taskbar.

Also it never really got as active as it used to be, and there has been a bit less activity lately.

Yeah it's really not that good as an IRC client. I'm just too lazy to get my self mIRC again.

Well, as I figured out Trillian can (kind of) do the same. If it wouldn't be able to do at least that, I would not even have been on IRC the last few days.
I might come by. Is it okay if I use mibbit my dad doesn't like me cluttering the computer full of stuff.
it doesn't matter what you use.
