So, I was bored one day and I decided to play Fusion, or maybe I was bored <i>because</i> I was playing Fusion. Just kidding.
Anyway, I got to wondering if it would be possible to make a code that would allow you to wall jump normally, that is somewhere nearer to how wall jumping is in ZM. It seems possible with Codebreaker which has some sort of If/Then sort of code. I know it would be cheating, and thus not actually useful for any speed running but it would still be fun to be able to wall jump the way Samus is supposed to wall jump.

The way I see it such a code working would be that when you perform a wall jump, it changes something to force Samus to move only in one direction for a period of time. If one could force that variable into thinking that Samus didn't wall jump, maybe it might enable you to move mid-air after wall jumping.

However, that's really all I have on this subject is wonderment and speculation. If someone who knows more about using Codebreaker could find a way to either make a code along those lines or prove my theory wrong, I would be forever indebted to them.

But now I must sleep, so I shall check on this topic in the morning. Or afternoon, or whenever I happen to drag myself from bed...
Thread title:
good idea, except that sequence breaking in fusion would not be possible even with that code.
Unless i'm misteken, i think that there was a Code that allowed you to make perfect bomb jumping.
Time bomb set get out fast!
Nate's referring to the event++ system, if you're not familiar with that, Vincent.
and I thought there was a moon-jump code for metroid fusion (so you could jump as high as you could) which would have kind of the same effect :P
Nate: I wasn't really aiming to sequence break with it, I'm not very familiar with Fusion but I've come to grips that Fusion was put together pretty well to stop that. I was mainly just wondering if it would be possible, just for novelty purposes at the least.

However, with event++ one could possibly sequence break. Now, of course not in the traditional way of skipping an item or getting an item early, but it would be funny to somehow skip a boss and receive the wrong item from them. Once again, no practical use but funny nonetheless.

Jelly: I didn't know that. Maybe I'll look into that.

Smops: I am aware there are a few ways to do the things one could do with an infinite wall jump. However, I wasn't wanting a wall jump for the sake of sequence breaking, just for the sake of having fun with a good wall jump.
I'll be back. Maybe...
Knowing Nintendo, they've probably programmed the game so bosses don't appear until you've beaten the previous one.

In event++, do things like the countdown, the water, the Aux. Power, and the habitation deck computer increase event, or is it only items, or just bosses?
I believe they do skree, because with the moon jump code and the sequence break discovered by Sess (check the site, TRO trap), defeating netorri gives you something weird I believe, like unlocking the green doors or something.

I shall experiment using AR and see what I can find.
With the "normal" bomb- or walljump you could get to Nettori as soon as you can go to sector 2, right? Is that what Smops wrote, well, I don't know.
No. Check out the video 'TRO Trap' on the main site to see what I mean. Just before Yakuza/auxilirary power, you can enter TRO without fighting him.
I'll be back. Maybe...
The most bizarre thing is: WHY GREEN DOORS?! You should already have opened the green doors by then.
I don't know what it unlocks, I gave it as an example >_>
I'll be back. Maybe...
I think it is green doors, actually.
