can you go to arc early?

When you're supposed to be in sector 6, if you go to sector 5, the navigation room won't be blocked.

Here's the question: If you collected all the possible energy tanks before NOC, would it be possible to speed through ARC to the security room, go back up and refill, and then come back to get the ice missile and then escape? I noticed that in rare cases regular enemies drop red x's, and some rooms in ARC are not freezing cold.

To continue on through the rest of arc, one freezing room requires speed boost. since when u are in the room you jump back in pain every second from the cold keeping u from sucessfully speedboosting to the bottom of the room.

No you cannot sequence break by going through ARC first.

but didn't tdk do a trick on his TAS 100% run to bypass that?

I dont know what trick you would be thinking of. I need to get the speed booster going, but every few seconds you get knocked back from the damage (like hitting a creature).

Besides, I'm sure the security room platform wouldnt work anyways.

Correct. Going to any security room, water lowerer, auxiliary power console or data room out of sequence will result in the console not working.

EDIT: I know in the frozen ridley cold room, you take damage at a steady rate (similar to how you take steady damage in lava, but never jump back), so it could be possible (unless we have an ntsc-pal version difference). But my above point still stands so the only potential use is possibly getting an item early, I'm not sure as I haven't been through there in a while.
