First off, correct me if I get something wrong...

Anywayz

We all know that Samus starts off with the Varia suit and that she doesn't lose it in the game. We know that Samus gets the Dark Suit after defeating Amorbis (spelling?)...

And... we all know that that's not enough, there has to be at least one more suit upgrade in the game... What do you think? Will it be a gravity upgrade for the Dark suit? Or will it be another Phazon enhancement. Or even better... BOTH. Or will it be something completely different?

...Or is the dark suit IT. I doubt it's the only other suit out there. From what I've heard about the screw attack also doubling as a water tripple jump it may make the gravity suit redundant in this game.

Also it could just be that the Dark Suit was put as the reward for defeating Amorbis just so ppl could have a glimpse of it in the new demo.

I was wondering what you guys think about this...
Thread title:
We do know that there's a Gravity Suit is after Dark Suit.  What exactly it'll look like, we don't know. Also, the Dark Suit doesn't make you absolutely fine in the Dark World, just take much less damage from it.
I got all this from GreenMamba's Echoes Thingamabob, IIRC.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
And I didn't even have to plug it myself.  Damn I'm good.

GreenMamba, nice job on that thing.

I can't wait to see what the Gravity Suit is going to look like..I thought nothing could top the Dark Suit!
Well, if it's the actual Gravity Suit, it'll probably look like the Gravity Suit. Otherwise it might just be a purple Dark suit... I'm fine either way. I seem to love everything Retro tosses at us nowdays...

well, except the Luminoth.. they're cool, but ugly.

Yeah, it will look like the gravity suit, but I'm sure they'll change it a bit, probably make it look even cooler.
One shall stand, one shall ball.

What's that twice now? That's pretty good.
I think that the Gravity suit might look diffrent from the Dark suit.

Hopefully cooler.
It's probably just going to be the Dark Suit with a different colour scheme like the difference between the Varia and Gravity suit in other Metroid games.

But maybe it will actually do more to change the form of Samus's suit even more... we'll just have to wait and see.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
I'm going to have to give Retro credit for being brave enough to change the entire look of the suit.
I really hope they call it something else, though. I mean, the gravity suit we're used to is basically the Varia with different colors.

Maybe... the Echo Suit? Ohyeah. It creates a barrier of cheesy obviousness to protect Samus even further.
well we know theres gunna be a light suit.

Well let's see then:

Normal+Gravity+Dark+Light= 4 suits. That's porbably all they will have. Meaning no "Echoes Suit" or anything like that.
You know, I'm beginning to doubt that the Gravity Suit is even in the game at this moment: We haven't actually seen it yet right?

And the fact that one of the new power-ups allows Samus to float on the water if I remember (Gravity Boost I think it's called) kinda adds to my reasoning.

Edit: I do hope that it is in there somewhere though  Wink

Hmm...
If I recall correctly, the Gravity Boost is an upgrade that attaches to the Dark Suit to enhance mobility around liquid. I'm unsure as to the presence of the Gravity Suit either, but I wouldn't lose hope completely - after all, the Dark World is pretty much the reverse of the Light World, and I remember some previes mentioning a LOT of water in the Dark World. In that case, the Gravity Boost could be an enhancement that supersedes the Grav. Suit, or it could be an extra add-on, since this preview seemed to accent that it was only for the Dark Suit.

And Samus gets the Dark Suit from Amorbis? Where'd you hear that? I was under the impression Amorbis was supposed to be the first Dark World boss.

Who said that?

Edit: Nevermind, just saw where it was Embarassed

However, I seem to remember reading on the new Metroid.com site that the Dark Suit is obtained after the first encounter with Dark Samus.
Before the final version was shown the last demo version had to set up so that when you defeat Amorbis you get the Dark Suit. All of this was written when the last demo was shown.

The Dark Beam is aquired from Dark Samus, not the Dark Suit.

Dark Suit is from Amorbis.

Right: I knew you got Dark something from Dark Samus. I just said the wrong one...
how do you get a dark beam from dark samus when you start off with the dark beam?
lol no way
Simple: You don't start off with the dark beam.
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
Apparently, the
Light Suit allows Samus to move through dark water...
