ok, this has probably been discovered, but i found a thrick for the security robot fight in PYR.

when you enter the room, run to the right to let it know you are there, then run back to the left, grab onto the bars, go all the way left, then the teeniest bit to the right, arm your missiles, and aim straight down.

the robot will come at you, and crash into the wall. it will do this over and over again, and you can freely shoot missiles down into it just before it hits the wall.

Just in case it hasn't been discovered, which, I imagine, is his cause for using an indefinite term like probably.

That's what people say when they aren't sure if something is already known, and they don't want to look arrogant by revealing some great mystical truth that everybody already knows. It's kind of a courtesy. Chances are that even if it's not on m2k2, it's known and in the queue to be put up. But these things are still worth pointing out, just in case.

I couldn't tell you if it's known or not, I don't follow Fusion. But good work anyway.

I remember seeing something like it in an FAQ once.  Haven't tried the strategy myself yet... maybe I will in my next run.

Anything would be faster than my usual method.  I'm great at avoiding damage in that fight, but I can't hit BOX worth a kraid.  I've been known to run out of missiles before defeating him.

I'm consistent at the improved Sess method... dunno who added the Missile at the beginning while jumping though so I can't give the proper credit. I'll venture guesses: DaveB or WD?
