I just want to know how many people have gotten the secret message and I would like some advice on doing it myself.

Also, what are you supposed to do when Adam says "is your objective clear?"  Are you supposed to go back and get the Diffusion Missiles?

Yeah, and you can't progress through the game because they lock the door.

And yes, I did it, after probably hours of work. I actually made it to the final room 3 times until I could kill the fish, jump, and midair shinespark.

I've only done it with save states, and even then it was incredibly hard.

Never done it. However, I think there is an alternate way to get there without using the shinespark. There was a video on the site about it. I think it involved trying to shoot one of those "puffers" outside the diffusion missle data room.

can't think of any reason why running is required for the alternate method, except for maybe the speed booster blocks at the very end (right before the aqa entrance).

It was about the only part of Fusion I liked... For those few minutes, you're really on edge! Took me about 4 hours before I got it the first time - thank god for the rechargable GBA SP!

you shoot the puffer thing blocking your way out through the large room next to the data room (where you would normally get diffusion missiles and leave using them). you need to hit your head on the yellow and black striped platform and shoot an ice missile down-left with pixel perfect accuracy. once the enemy is frozen, just roll out and watch the secret message. we believe that this is impossible in the japanese version of the game, but we'll have to wait a month or so to confirm that.
