I hate editing certain parts of Super Metroid. Almost all of Tourian, but also some of the smaller rooms where it feels that all that can be done has been done. I also don't like editing some of the much larger rooms in Maridia. They practically scream: Morphball maze, but I never liked those, so I won't force them upon others. The big rooms make me feel like I'm not working hard enough to hack the game, always making me feel like I should've done more. One last place I don't care for is the backdoor to the WS. Its so pointless sometimes, and I find it hard to edit it without making it look forced or just plain bad. The look of one of my hacks is just as important to me as the play value, and sometimes these rooms make me stop hacking.

Solution: expand rooms, move more rooms into Tourian to make it larger, more nonlinear and more interesting.

Solution: center them around a really insane and impressive structure. Either that or wait for a great inspiration. Also, large rooms are good for grapple beam puzzles, speed booster puzzles, or just good ol' fashioned mazelike rooms.
I appreciate your recommendations, but every time I've tried to expand a room, it messes up. I know what I'm going to do for the rooms, its just that some of them are annoying, and I'm getting near the end of my next hack where I only have the really big, really small, and tourian left to edit, and I needed to rant a bit.
If you're referring to the fact that when you expand rooms horizontally, all the tiles slide out of order and look like random garbage, that's normal.
