To answer what you meant, yes, SDA has allowed SWs for a while now.
But yeah, who cares if some website doesn't allow OoB runs on their site? Doesn't stop you from doing your run with them. Unless you want to adhere to all of Twin Galaxies's ridiculous rules as well...
Is this common now. Members on this forum taking what people say out of context? Of course I know you "can" use them if you want. It's just that M2k2 used to adhere very strictly to SDA guidelines. Wasn't aware that SDA changed their policy. Now I know.
Maybe it's my bad for not mentioning SDA in my post. Just assumed it was implied.
i'm willing to bet that even when we get to the point OoB has been allowed far longer than the time it was banned, we'll still get people confused and thinking it is not allowed like years ago. (bonus points if anyone gets what i tried to say)
I have a quick question. Is there a specific trick to nailing the DBJ over the runic gate everytime? Such as a timing or stick position?
I line myself up with the right runes on the gate and delay the second bomb to max height but only 1 in say 7 tries do I get the necessary height and 1 in 5 tries of that do I actually get over the gate.
I used to TBJ over back in the day but I'd rather get the quicker, seemingly more reliable DBJ over down.
so when dbj over the runic gate there is a small trick that helps a little. when the second bomb goes off shooting you into the air towards the third bomb, pull back really quickly and then forwards again as you get hit by the third bomb. I am assuming the first bomb is the one wasted in order to lay the second and third ones. I also do not know why pulling back and pushing forward makes it work more so your just going to have to trust me on this one. This same trick also makes it easier to make the dbj in the frigate at the beginning of the game.
Well, I guess, because if you're touching the gate/a wall all the way while bombjumping, you leave yourself no room to build any forward momentum. If you just barely reach the ledge, even the slightest forward momentum can help you to just push yourself over. So practically this bonus gives you more height (not for the bj itself though, I hope it's correct and clear what I mean). :)
