No, it's called seppuku on japanese I think.

Well, the idea of fighting against Boo or Freezer in Metroid would let every metroid fan commit seppuku!

All Metroid's are really the same.

Space Pirates get Metroids, Samus beats them, and they regroup, with occasional planet exploding.

I expect something along those lines.

Heh, Fusion doesn't count!

But yeah, those are really exceptions. And kinda Metroid, because you never see the pirates.

Fusion, at heart, isn't really a Metroid game, but more of an "X" game.

The metroids are -definetly- not destroyed, I am certain either the Space Pirates or the Federation have Metroids in captivity and/or Metroid DNA for expirements. If they were wiped out then I am sure Mother Brain would come back to make some more, then get owned by Samus... I am sure that pattern would continue.

The only way that I could see new enemies is that you had a new enemy race instead of the space pirates.

Which is exactly what we get in Echoes, basically. New enemy races.

I think the Space Pirates have been around long enough.

The only other place the Pirates could show up in my opinion is if Samus somehow found their primary base of operations. (You know, the SP High Command talked about in Prime) Zebes just doesn't seem like their HQ to me.

Other than that, the SP are either going to end up in every game, or else there should be some new, cooler enemy: Kinda like the Ing, but I have a feeling that Echoes will be their only appearance.

Of course, I could be wrong. Wink
