about marking spoilers

i think because of how retarded this release schedule is we should make special rules for prime 3 spoilers. i propose that we strictly enforce marking spoilers (this means using [spoiler] tags) outside of the prime 3 forum. all unmarked spoilers will be deleted on sight. this deletion will serve as a warning; repeat offenders will be banned.

inside the prime 3 forum spoiler tags will be required only if the topic is not explicitly marked WARNING: SPOILERS in the title. this is to avoid encumbering sequence breaking and speed running discussion. the deletion/banning rule applies to unmarked spoilers inside unmarked topics (i.e., no "WARNING: SPOILERS" in the topic title) in the prime 3 forum, as well.

this policy will expire one month after the release of prime 3 in the final area (so probably in late january of 2008 from what i can tell right now).

We could probably simplifiy it down to about two topics in the Prime 3 section: One for game/story spoilers, one for sequence breaking, unless we find something so game changing that it deserves it's own topic, like a break of SJF calibur. I doubt that it would happen from what we've heard, but you never know with this community.

Plus, we have the wiki for discussing specifics about certain things as well, depending on how many of us end up over there. Can't tell how many others have accounts besides you and me at the moment.

might want to put a huge spoiler warning on the front page of the wiki as we can't expect people to be marking spoilers there.

Sounds fine.

@Prime Hunter: no need to limit the forum to just two topics; others always seem to spring up that you wouldn't initially expect, so we shouldn't hinder that. Also it can be cool when big SBs are given their own topic, so they're given full attention.
