I think there should be a section for the Trilogy on the videos site. I've been told the Ghetto Jump still works, it's just harder, and that you can get the Space Jump boots early in the Trilogy version of Prime 1. It'd be great to see some movies for early stuff. The Spring Ball might be abusable, too.

Now, I don't have a capture card, so I can't make movies, but this a suggestion for the site. I think Trilogy owners, like me, would appreciate it. :)
Thread title:
Unlikely. Nobody really pays much attention to the Trilogy version since many of the important sequence breaks are impossible.
Agreed. Unfortunately for Trilogy fans you pretty much have to play the game how Retro intended. Not that it's a bad thing, it's just when you've played the game 1,000,000,000,000,000 times glitching adds serious replay value. The GC versions are not hard to find either fyi if you're interested
Yeah. Motion controls suck too

it's not unlikely if someone wants to do it. it's not like trilogy submissions would be rejected or anything.
Exactly. It's unlikely that anyone would ever want to spend the time making those videos.

Um... I just managed to Ghetto Jump in the Abandoned Base to the Light Portal, skipping the whole thing. Granted, I was practicing with the Dark Suit, but some of the sequence breaks ARE possible.

Edit: I just skipped the Abandoned Base on the Trilogy version using a Ghetto jump. ^_^ I'm going to try to sequence break all the items listed and if it's all right, I'll make a thread about what you can and can't do in the Trilogy for SBing.
wrong topic. And much of the sequence breaks for trilogy are already known. The main reason it's not on the website is because, quite honestly, if you want to speedrun the prime series, why bother with the trilogy version? And if you have a problem with the GC controls, then get used to it, because they are far more consistent for speedrunning than wii controls (which is one reason why mp3 is frowned upon for speedrunning), and you can do infinitely more. There is literally nothing you can do, in terms of breaks, that's only possible in trilogy and not in GC.

Especially for mp3, where the trilogy version controls exactly the same as the original, except with just about every trick and break in the game removed.

:/ I used to like the GC controls, but then I played Corruption years later. And then I played Prime 1 again (my first GC game) and... I just wanted to try the trilogy. I tried my brother's copy and I just like the controls better.

Even so, I'm going to try. I ALMOST got that energy tank in the Windchamber w/o the grapple beam using Free-Aim off and locking onto the Grapple point. I'm going to try abusing the Spring Ball along with the boost ball next.

Also, why not just list the Trilogy Sequence breaks for those of us who like the Trilogy? That way, we don't have to go hunting to see which ones work and which do not, eh? :)

like i've said numerous times now, the only thing preventing trilogy content from going up on the site is that there IS NO trilogy content. someone needs to write it and submit it first. i'm sure nate will happily put it up.

whether there's anyone who wants to actually do that is a different matter, of course.

AH! I see. Well, that's what I'm doing with this thread: http://m2k2.taigaforum.com/post/sequence_breakingtechnique_list_for_the_trilogy_versions_of_prime_13.html

I won't be able to make videos, though. :(

I'm also sorry for not reading your posts properly. Forgive me. >_<

cool. just be sure to follow the guidelines nate posted yesterday.

I think my thread follows the guidelines save I have no videos. :/
