Hello everyone, great site! I'm a Metroid fanatic and just recently became interested in competing in % runs and possibly speed runs....although I can't imagine how the speed records were made! Crazy! I will watch them soon.
  So, I'm wondering what is the best % completion so far, how it was done, and how mine stacks up.  I completed it with 25 %...although I think now I didn't need the boost ball.  Twisted Evil And for those who haven't tried it, MP with no charge beam is a b!t@h!

Wait, I forgot, is that nine hours or nine minutes?  That's either pretty slow (sorry) or a fake time.

That's 9 hours.

Curious as to what the 3 extra percent is that you got there... or 2, I guess, since you said boost ball.

Was 9 hrs.  Wasn't going for a low % AND speed run.  My best speed run is 3:58 natural route. This was my 2nd % run, and my first using bombing and jumping techniques from IGN.com Metroid faq.  Just trying to complete it first. I thought I was good at MP, until I came here!!  Shocked

Amen, watching all the speed runs and such have shattered my esteem... I no longer try for very high speed anymore :P

Speaking of runs, since I couldn't find a topic, has anybody completed a 100% speed run WITH all the scans? That would be something to see :)
