A couple thoughts. (and I mean a couple. not much to say tbh)
-My favorite part was when you scanned the mushroom instead of the rune in Watery Hall
-That Gathering Hall missile expansion always seems so slow, but I know you need 15 for Thardus, and I guess there's nothing else on the way. Fiery Shores one's probably slower?
- Fungal Hall B missile might be skippable with more Artifact Temple/Lumigek missile drops, but it would probably be hard.

The save is loading while I get that missile, so it doesn't cost quite as much as it looks. You can see the save takes a bit of time to open at the end of the next segment.
Edit: Huh... Maybe it'd be better to get it in the next segment, when the missile barrier on the save is gone? No idea if it matters, but it's something to consider at least. I can't see how it would hurt at any rate.

I went into the Prime fight with max missiles. Of course, you could just replace "Artifact Temple/Lumigek" with "those Orb things", I guess...
did you guys noticed the new awesome speedtricks? dammit if someone would make this run as good as the 1:01 run from sparky it would archive 58 or 57 minutes! he saved so much time.... i cant believe it
I didnt do an indepth analysis or anything, but I noticed about 30 seconds lost from obvious mistakes. Like far phen pb levels of obvious. That is insane. He beat sparky's super solid run even with that much time lost. This also means that sub 1 is well within reach. simply insane...
Just saw it, Miles. Sooo impressive. I like seeing the new route used -- it just feels so much more natural than the previous which looked like it had too much backtracking.
here is a comparison of segments between this and sparky's 1:01 (sparky is on the left)
1 203 446 2 253 13 3 516 500 ... (these three segments do the frigate, space jump, and the ruins trip, ending at gathering hall. but they save at different times throughout) -- 4 345 336 ibbf 5 400 350 flaaghra 6 742 735 magmoor/phendrana/plasma 7 421 419 far phendrana 8 538 713 back to ship (miles adds about 1:35 for fighting thardus) 9 52 49 ship to reflecting pool 10 458 447 to central dynamo -- 11 620 523 12 552 435 (these two segments do omega pirate, newborn, and elite pirate, ending at reflecting pool. sparky loses by wallcrawling, but remember miles lost by fighting thardus) -- 13 48 46 reflecting pool to ship 14 137 132 ridley 15 612 607 end
Very impressive! Like others said there is a lot of mistakes here and there, so this mean that (at the time) impossible :59 will be reached soon! I really liked the first segment and the Thardus fight, for the rest ( kinda hard sorry) could have been better if you work harder on the others segments. Still very nice and hope you keep working on MP1 !
...Yeah, funny story about that: I normally would have reset after screwing up in Life Grove, but decided to keep going just to practice the rest of the segment. Then the rest ended up going pretty okayish and finished with that maze, so yeah. <_< It was still my best attempt up to the maze at any rate, that segment sucks.
"watcher": That's not the most fair comparison, as you're comparing my completely accurate taken-straight-from-the-in-game-timer times to sparky's not entirely accurate manual timing (accurate manual timing is pretty much impossible, I blame lag), plus YouTube adds a second to video lengths for no reason. His times are generally a second or two faster than what you have in your post.
holy shit. i wasn't keeping up with things, but last time i was checking prime speedrunning i believe everybody said sub 1 hour would be near, if not completely, impossible.
