Hi all,

I'm in the process of recording a visual Hypermode 100% 'natural route' guide for MP3, and I'd like your advice on it's progression. It'll be in the flash video format as well.

The guide will consist of the segments and text-based pointers on what that segment contained (reasons for doing what I do).

I've only recorded the first segment so far, but feel free to let me know what you think of the pacing and strats used as I go along.

As far as scans go, I have a seperate file for that, and I'm taking screenshots to include seperately in the guide. (saves on footage/streaming bandwidth!)

I can't wait to watch it. DJGrenola set the bar with audio commentary though... Must go above!

Good point about the audio commentary. I can't really offer it with and without commentary, it'd need to be one or the other. I may record commentary for that test segment though and see what everyone thinks...

So you're skipping cutscenes? I also noticed you used a few speed tricks such as skipping Ghor's security scan... maybe not the best idea, but then again this is your guide and I don't know what you plan on using it for. Other than that, it looks good to me.

Yea, I'm skipping cut-scenes to save overall viewing time/bandwidth. I used the Ghor scan skip as it's dead easy to do and livens the video up somewhat. I'd explain it's benefits in the audio/written commentary though. It'll only be simple stuff like that, that makes it into the guide. :)

Progress so far:

10 segments recorded, saved at the ship in Thorn Jungle (having destroyed the 2 turrets) with 23% of the items collected. I'm now on my way to the turret near where Rundus was, and then head to the seed. :D

Current time: 1hr 17mins :D
