Congratulations! Can't wait to see how it was pulled off compared to your :56 and :55 and Miles' runs. Cooperating bosses (lol shegoth)? Better execution? New strats (LSJF)? This will be a delight!
What is crazy is that it's now *visibly* confirmed that sub-hour is still "humanly possibly" possible with 5 minutes of mistakes.

That's the last 2 seconds that you would want to save in a SS speedrun. oh wait, 2 pool Omega Pirate is still harder on console than leftwards SJF.
Compared to the :55 this is much smoother/faster and the bosses go much better in general. The frigate escape being only ~1s slower than your PB (WR?) shows that this is fast all around. There are a couple of mistakes/silly bad luck - but they give the run character! Preshooting the Control Tower door is a nice addition. How often does one get lucky and get a PB refill?
Watch this run people.

Hehehe. Well T3 (who discovered it) just 2 weeks ago posted a video where it was done repeatedly and consistantly. But runners should not be pressured into using riskier strats (especially in a SS run) except by other runners with lower times, or themselves.
Edit: Sorry for bringing this up. Please let the focus be on the :54 !!!
Oh god, i cant imagine someone doing LSJF in a ss run, it only saves like 1,5 seconds or even less, i think if you want to save some time there then you should go for perfecting the normal SJF strat, i dont think ive ever seen anyone do it optimally before, but that applies for several places, lwsj isnt the thing to improve on, theres always some movement stuff.
