Since you asked, the border and the 'L' block come from the official Nintendo NES version of Tetris.  The crawly things are the same crawling things you see when you first start a game of Metroid I.  Mix in Photoshop and a little boredom, and voila!

It turned out better than I thought it would, actually.

well, its the official metroid evolution art from metroid 2, photoshopped onto  a cool background.  I didn't make the sig myself, it was made by a random-sig maker over at OCremix by the name of "draculalucard!" because i frequent those forums as well.
In order, the metroids in my sig are.  (left to right)
Omega, Zeta, Metroid, Gamma, Alpha

Made mine in Paint in the middle of my recent Metroid Prime spree. The female version of my signature character (Rox!) in a power suit. Pretty happy with it, especially since it only took around four hours... VERY little time for me.
