i dont know if anyone has yet noticed this, but the MP2 Echoes section does not contain any videos like in the other games, that are of course hosted on this excellent metroid site.

Unless no one decided to this in the first place, it would be greatly appreciated.

There are random videos of tricks on the wiki page, but as for runs (if that's what you are looking for), there are a couple of them at speeddemosarchive.com.

Augh, no, no...

No, not speed runs!(although yes i have attempted to view some at that website(my friend brought a video containing some of them, some really impressive work there!!!!), but unfortunately i couldnt seem to view ANY of the metroid runs)

Let me clarify and make this more precise. I would like to see(if at all possible) videos showing things like speed tricks, boss tricks, you know the videos that i consider Metroid2002 to be famous for. Thats why i would want to see the echoes section have somewhat similar things. That just so that metroid2002 can live up to its great and excellent speed tricks reputation that i just simply enjoy watching.(Excellent 10% hard speed run ridley fight in ZM by Aj by the way, very impressed. My friend just couldnt copy it, no matter how hard he tried.(and that was on a 15% speed run!))

Thats in reality why i was a little disappointed in the echoes section, because(not to be mean, in my opinion) it reminded me of the way other game websites posted their tricks, not like here, where you get to see actual videos of the people performing them.

If at all possible, then please place them in.

By curiosity, when does(if anyone knows) the echoes section of m2k2 become completed?

Just search through the links on the wiki page, there are videos.

Nate is extremely busy currently, so making the MP2 page a 'real' page isn't very high on his priorities list right now.

well sometimes the videos are either low quality, or i simply cant view em. Thats why.

Oh, and uh, um.... well i didnt know it would take some time before it would finish, but any approximate time would be great!

To remove all doubt that you might have codecs missing or some such, download VLC Player, which makes all video file types its zazabis.  Heh, VLC Player is a pimp...

It would be nice if we had a standard video type there, like on the others.  (MPEG/MPEG-4)  Someone should outlaw WMV because there are too many low quality vids there.  I guess DivX is ok too, but it causes problems for some people.

Edit: I added a "required software" paragraph similar to the one on the homepage (metroid2002.com) to the Echoes section.  Happy viewing!
