Ads are annoying. That is all. They wouldn't be so bad if they treated you with an ounce of respect, but most of them seem targeted at people with an IQ similar to that of a slug.

I once read an article that said that gen-xers and younger are becoming immune to advertising. I think there's some truth in it because older people don't seem to roll their eyes and feel like their intelligence is insulted everytime a stupid ad presents itself. I say we should all make a conscious effort to NOT purchase items that we see advertised.

Yeah, we do get the occasional gem, but they're so drowned out by the bucketloads of bullshit ads for things like accident claims, loans, and car insurance that it just makes you hate them all.
