it's a worse remaster than dsfix, which is free...
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Souls fans are over dramatic dopes.
How is native 60 fps and being the first good console version of DS1 worse?
The new lighting and particle effects are way more noticeable than I expected
I'm enjoying it thoroughly
I'm waiting for the switch version
Did they make the game easier?  It feels like the parry window has been increased.
If you played on PS3 previously it probably seems that way because it's 60 instead of 10 fps
ah.

Well pvp is kind of pointless.  I thought I would help people in boss fights but in order to put down my summon sign, I have to be human.  The moment you become human, you get invaded.  I just jump off a cliff or let them kill me so I can come back and put my summon sign down but I never get a chance to because I just get invaded right away again.  I thought there was supposed to be some kind of timer?  How is anyone able to put down their summon sign?  I see them all over the place.  I can scribble one down but it vanishes within seconds because an invader shows up.  I hate pvp.
Maybe there's passwords for co-op only communities

You're probably used to the much tighter timing from 2 and 3. DS1 parries were always pretty generous.
Probably.

One thing hasn't changed.  I still can't find the door that goes to the depths.  I've played through this game at least 10 times and I have still never been able to find that door without consulting youtube.  I look for HOURS and I just can't seem to find it.  It's like my brain just won't record that one detail of the game.
just keep in mind that it's "down in  the village"
gto be honest that place also confused me on my first couple playthroughs. took me a while to remember that route
For some reason, I always think that the kicked-down ladder in the undead burg bonfire room is supposed to take me to where you meet solaire.
Just got the key to blighttown.  I can't think of any benefit of going down through blighttown except there's a katana and eagle shield on the way.  I think it would be more fun to run all the way back to firelink and cut across valley of drakes tbh.  I just hate that rickety piece of shit bridge thing.
Would be nice to turn over my large ember too
jesus all I can do with pvp in this game is get invaded.  I can't lay down a summmon sign long enough to be summoned.  It's like the balance of invaders vs. those wanting to be summoned is way out of whack. I've tried at least a dozen times to be summoned but I can't go without being invaded long enough.

Kinda lame that they didn't fix that you have to purchase all of Logan's spells to get him to go hollow.  I already have about 87K worth of spells that I bought earlier - and now I have to buy them AGAIN?  That's just stupid.  You would think the game would check that number held =\= 0 for each spell in his shop instead of making you actually clear out his shop.  I farmed for like 2 hours to buy them once already, and now I have to do it again?!
One shall stand, one shall ball.
The point isn't you having the spells, it's him not having them. Once his inventory is empty he's got nothing else to do and goes hollow.

It's inconvenient but not broken. DS1 in a nutshell.
It's stupid.  He does have white dragon breath, he just doesn't sell it.  He also abstains from going hollow indefinitely after he has no spells left to sell as long as you don't kill Seathe.
I did Platinum over the weekend and was surprised how painless it was despite no duping. If you farm Phalanx with Firestorm that's 10k+ souls every like 20 seconds
It's still 2.5 playthroughs and a whole bunch of collecting shit.  You did all of that in one weekend?  Were you on meth?
It was like 16 hours of actual playtime lol

I guess I'm old.  I can't play that many hours in a day to get 16 hours done in one weekend.  My ass gets tired.
