Something strange has happened to my DKS3 file.  It's like none of my armor works.  I can go from full health to completely dead in just a few seconds.  This started when I loaded my game at the bonfire before the dungeon.  I've tried changing to the heaviest armor I have and it makes no difference - the game just acts as if I'm wearing nothing at all.  I've got some kind of curse.

EDIT: Getting hit by three arrows wiped out over 1700 health.  Something's very wrong.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Are you sure it's just not NG++ in action? After a point enemies do stupid amounts of damage and nothing matters anymore.
I don't know.  Is the point you're referring to right before irrithyl dungeon?  I'm like 8 hours into NG++ and they weren't doing stupid amounts of damage until now.
I guess it's just the phantom that comes right before irrithyl dungeon.  I just played through the dungeon and capitol and damage level was normal.  That phantom does more damage than anything in the whole game apparently.

Just saw that. Cool!
Does the Trilogy Box have original DS2 for PS4? Or are they treating Scholar as the "real" DS2 now?
idk but it seems like it's only for Japan and it's overpriced af
It contains:
Dark Souls Remastered
Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin
Dark Souls III: The Fire Fades Edition
It just says "DS2" on the box ... c'mon guys, don't do this

It's like pretending that Master Quest is the real version of Ocarina of Time
The book that comes in the trilogy box is what interests me the most.
I wanted to rebuy Dark Souls III and II for PS4 anyways. I might dig... hopefully it's not really super expensive.
Hopefully they just have a regular trilogy edition without all the collector garbage
Yeah that shit is in japanese AND it's over $400.  no way.

Umbasa!

Finished the first two missions of Nioh (plus tutorial).

Cool game so far. I like the feel of the combat and all the familiar touches from Ninja Gaiden and Souls. The combat doesn't seem too complicated to learn, but I can already tell there's a lot to master at a high level. I gotta stop pressing R1 to attack and O to dodge, for starters... >_> I'm enjoying the sword kick that drains enemy Ki, followed by the out-of-stamina Triangle stab.

Level design is the only thing I'm not into so far, kinda dull and repetitive. The areas are just so samey, and the enemy placement isn't helping. But I know I'm still early on. Would have been cool to explore a bigger/more connected world like in Souls. Not that Nioh isn't fine the way it is, but it's hard to avoid the comparison.

Are healing items as rare as they seem right now?
You can switch to a Soulsy control scheme, highly recommend it

Nioh is the definition of bloated, it's full of systems and skills you never need to use, so there's no incentive to master anything

Level design, enemy variety and placement only get worse from here

You get more heals from bonfires the more Kodama you found in the current world map, so you're always starved for heals at the start of a new area

It's not a great heal system, but if you stock up on extra heals and maybe buy some at the blacksmith you'll be fine
