Defefinitely check that out. Though I think the Life Hunt scythe is the only weapon you can get from Priscilla's soul, the only other option for the Horn is a shield, there's another sword you can get from Sif's soul and a shield and the hammer's the only thing you get from Smoughs soul.

Check out the darksuls.wikidot.com article on Sif's soul. You can get two versions of Greatsword of Artorias. And both have the same name. But are different weapons (!!!).

You may find the one that allows you to attack ghosts in a non cursed state useful
Thanks.  I got the cursed version.  Also got lifehunt scythe.  Currently trying to decide between golem axe and dragon fist.

lol crap my faith and int stats won't permit me to use the cursed artorias sword.  Oh well.  I think I'm going to get the crystal ring shield with my butterfly soul becuase it has a projectile attack that sounds neat.
oh crap, i forgot about the insane stat requirements. sorry to have gotten your hopes up!

but by now the ghosts will probably be piss easy for you anyways. just use a transient curse and you're good. one of those lasts for a whopping 8 minutes
That's ok.  At least I have it should I ever decide to go for all weapons

Damn, upgrading the Moonlight Greatsword is expensive...

I'm not even sure yet if I'm going to make much use of it

It's really good and you should upgrade it. I've used it on all my INT builds and never regretted it.
w/o a shield and at 20 vit I'm probably better off witht he range that the spear provides me with lol

I do like rapiers because of the quick precise stabbing.  The halberd is more powerful for thrusting but I can get two hits delivered in the same time that it takes to hit once with halberd.

The Halberd also offers much better reach, a sweeping strong attack to catch more mobile enemies, and more damage per hit than a rapier will typically offer. The general issue with purely thrusting weapons in these is that the hitbox is, as you'd expect, very small making it difficult to hit some targets, so variations of those weapons that have wider attacks tend to be more useful stabbing between a giant's legs is irritating!

Also the Halberd's thrusts come out quicker than it seems, that thing fucks shit up. I am an unapologetic Halberd fanboy, it's real good yall.

Bah, the Moonlight Greatsword offers plenty of reach and has a projectile! 20 VIT is plenty for any character! The greatsword can clear trash better than the spear thanks to the moveset, and you aren't meleeing bosses anyway, you should use it! It's good!

Or use both for ultra funtimes!

I agree.  I've used the halberd probably as much as all my rapiers combined.  I do find it easier to hit the giants with the smaller rapiers than the halberd though.  The halberd tends to stab right between their legs often, while the estoc stabs him right in the crotch easily.

Yeah the Estoc is a bit faster so I think it fucks up less in tracking I usually just two hand R2 those jerks with a halberd. Spin2win. The Estoc is also the only thrusting sword I've sort of liked using.
Yeah I probably killed them more with the two-handed halberd than with anything else.  The rapiers were too weak when I first farmed those guys.  It's also super fun to jump off a flight of stairs and chop all the way through one of those guys with the halberd.  That takes one hit with my current stats.

Now I'm using great club and I can kill all three enemies in that room in less than a minute.

So I hate Izalith.  Just died with so many souls and there's no way I would be able to find that spot again.  Took me two hours to get to it, made so many turns on the way.  I jumped into a pit because after searching everywhere I could find no place else to go.  There was no way up, and I didn't want to use the bone because the bonfire was SO far away. So even if I do find that place again I'll have to warp out of it after recovering my souls.
HA!  Well those souls are gone forever now.  Stepped onto lava without the lava ring on. poof!
One of the stone structures in the lava field has a hidden bonfire inside if you check the walls. Also there is a way up, but it can be hard to find.
Maybe this map can help with finding the hidden bonfire. http://www.kouryakubo.com/darksouls_en/image/maps/map20_lostizalith_en.gif

Yeah, getting out of that hole is a pain

btw I failed again lol. At least this time I didn't even need the dagger

I ended up dying a shitload of times trying to kill that boss in izalith.  I guess I need to just stop giving a shit about losing souls, as I've easily lost over 200k of them near the boss.  I spawned at the daughter of chaos bonfire each time since that was the shortest way to the boss after opening the door to the bridge, but that damn lightning demon respawns each time.  It's too hard to fight him using melee on that narrow bridge so I go for ranged, but it still takes a long ass time.  I think that boss killed me about a dozen times because I couldn't figure out what to do and would get knocked into holes.

I killed Nito on my first try, though.  I offered two souls to the lordvessel.
Congrats! Bed of Chaos is a pain. I'm surprised I beat it first try on my current character. Normaly I die a cozple of times, despite my experience with my game
Getting past that demon from behind is super easy witht he Slumbering Dragon Ring. With that on the demon won't notice you until you're just going past it, so you can just keep running. Worst case he'll hit you once from behind but that shouldn't kill you.
Good to know.  I did get a couple dozen demon titanites from him, as well as the demon pole or whatever his weapon is.
Fuck. My controller's is running out of power and I can't play while charging on a PC.

Time for a break I guess
BTW poise is super useful in New Londo. Get the Wolf Ring if you don't wear heavy armor.
I'm in the DLC right now.  I was totally unprepared for the boss fight that they throw you into right off the bat, but I prevailed.  Got my ass handed to me by the huge club wielding guys in the woods though.
Get the Oolacile Ivory Catalyst from the mushroom lady next to the bonfire after the first DLC boss, it's the best in the game unless you get to really high INT levels.
