I thought I fuct up on reddit again.  Someone posted a time on a metroid game that was actually very terrible, and I simply said that they should go for X amount of time, which wasn't even a super hard time to get.  And I got flooded with people telling me I was a terrible person, and how dare I not offer congratulations on a shitty time. I got huge negative karma, but I'm still over 20K positive karma so fuck them.  It's almost exclusively when I make a comment in the gaming section that people get all butthurt. It seems to be mostly metroid though.  I've had great convos about other games like sotc and horizon zero dawn and dark souls.  Kind of lame that metroid got such a bad community.

I remember caring about forum points when I was 12, where you'd get more per post the longer your posts were
