Here's a dose of stupid:

At work we use an IM program to keep in touch and when we go to meetings etc we have to change our status to reflect just that. This way mgmt can see where everyone is and what they're doing. Two years ago this one stupid woman stayed in 'available' status when she went to lunch. Someone got a phone call that was for her, and kept the caller on hold for several minuted while trying to reach the woman that was showing 'available' when in fact she was not. When she returned from lunch, her supervisor politely reminded her to update her status when she leaves. Every fucking day for two years now, this woman has not only updated her status when she went to lunch, but she sends an email to everyone in the whole building letting them know when she leaves, when she will be back, what she will be doing when she's gone, etc. She even walks around to everyone's office to inform them that she's off to a meeting, lunch, etc. I honestly don't know if she does it out of spite because it pissed her off two years ago when she was reminded to update her status, or if she's fucking stupid. It's become such a joke! Sometimes she even tells everyone what she's having for lunch. She not only does it for lunch, but meetings, training classes, everything. I'll wager that she has spent at least 80 hours of company time on this ridiculous practice, not to mention how many hours of other employees time she has wasted. It's mind blowing.

I don't know how lonely she is but she's very insecure.

She's constantly telling everyone and herself how incompetent she is. It's not untrue, but it's totally self-defeating. It's like she's ensuring her incompetence.

I'm also reveling in some 'I told you so, bitch' glow today because on Monday I foresaw an issue that I knew was going to be a problem, but when I brought it up I was told that it would be fine. Sure as shit, we just had a little emergency meeting about it. The problem I predicted came true. hahahaha

Of all the stupid groups, I have to say that gun nuts may very well be the most stupid. They sit there and recite the same stupid, poorly thought-out non-points over and over. I think the NRA deserves some major credit. Marketing on the brainwashing level is usually reserved for religion. I wonder if the brains behind their strategy have any experience in that area? Sure seems like it. What am I thinking. I don't want to talk about that shit.

new rant: Apparently my boss' boss is punishing me for pointing out the problem that she thought wasn't going to be an issue, then later it turned out to be a major issue. She's having me be the person in charge of correcting the problem, and to do this I have to get everyone to re-do their work from the past few days. What's awful about it is that no matter how plainly and clearly I explain the issue, these stupid people do not understand it. They still don't even see the problem that I pointed out on Monday! I don't know what other language to use than english. *facepalm*

lol yeah really.

I do all the training for new people, and they told me that I would be good as a trainer for the company, but I don't see it. I get so damn frustrated when people don't know what I'm talking about. I must hide that well.

I'll be training a new person very soon since one of my peers took the promotion that I passed up and they will be replaced. It's easy training one person because you can customize the pace and teaching style to meet their needs, but a group is a different story.

I've been checking out the Zelda Universe forums lately, and I have to say it's a textbook example of how ridiculous over-modding totally ruins a forum. You should read their rules some time. It's a joke! The mods jump into conversations and chastise some people for something so stupid, even though 100 other people have done the same thing in the thread. Then when you call them on it they say 'That's off topic!' even though the past 10 pages had nothing to do with the topic. That hasn't happened to me yet, but I really have to question the age of the people running that forum. Where are their heads?

They have a 'serious discussions' section where you can't say anything that someone might find offensive - and the topics are about religion and politics. Really? And don't use sarcasm? And the rules actually say 'it's against forum rules to ignore evidence.' These people are idiots.
