The biggest thing I loved about the ocarina is that you could play it like a real instrument outside of the preset songs. You could even change the pitch and add vibrato, which is just insane detail. It just set this huge benchmark that the other instruments haven't even tried to match.
Once I did, I wrote out the Super Mario Bros theme to play in Ocarina. A friend of mine was writing for Nintendo Power at the time and asked me to transcribe to include in some anniversary issue, but ended up not using it.
I was selling some accounts for League that I didn't want anymore. Had about 6 of them, tossed them up for $5 each. Some doucher bought 3 or 4, changed the info, then submitted a dispute.
the next day ebay emailed me letting me know they refunded him, but also didn't take the funds from my account, and that this won't reflect negatively on my account.
So I'm like... okay, I guess. At least I didn't lose out on like $20.
Yeah I can't wait for the last season of Mad Men. Finally sat down and watched that show a few months ago and it really does live up to the insane hype that surrounds it.
