Mm, I love that chord progression, whether cookie cutter or not. I guess there'd be a reason for it to be (and I hope the Hipster Police aren't listening) mainstream.
Aren't a lot of Porcupine Tree songs like that? Noting how processed and inorganic the music industry has become? Not that I listen to them a whole lot, they do have that whole "lyrics" thing goin' on, and that's not usually my department.
