'Constructed' a new PC myself. Just need money to buy the components now, to do it in reality as well. ;) WTB [Job] <---- yeah yeah, former WoW player here.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention I almost caught my PC on fire. I had a UV tube that mounts onto a fan hooked up to the power things just before the graphics card (this probalby won't make any sense) but because of the way I had it wired up it over heated like crazy. I actually heard a small pop when it shut off, and y whole room was filled with chemical smelling stuff. I shut down, removed the smoking plastic, and let everything vent out.
Now, since it was 1am at the time I kinda forgot that I just disconnected my video card's power from the rest of my stuff, so when I go to turn my computer on and *gasp* nothing shows up on the monitor I freak out. I try all kinds of stuff for about 30 minutes before I finally look around the case and see that I forgot to reconnect it.
But now everything is happy (except for my UV tube), and I got everything reformatted fine. I'm hoping to buy a $20 enclosure for my old harddrive so I can turn it into a portable harddrive.
Now I have a reasont o be afraid of letting my PC run while being away.
Which I have to because my graphics card has some sort of issue, so sometimes when booting I'm not getting any picture on screen and if that happens the chance for it to work with a reboot is like 10%. Want to boot my PC as few as possible.
Looks like I'm not going to Blizzcon, unless there's a miracle and Blizzard decides to sell more tickets or something. I'd gladly give them the $150 x2. I don't get why I didn't get higher up in the queue. the first time they went on sale I got in at 9,996. I figured out what I did wrong, and this time I did everything right but I got in at ~15,400.
I woke up at 10am to buy blizzcon tickets, but couldn't (as I posted above) (shitty) so I went on WoW to tell my friends what happened. I did some dailies, did the random dungeon finder a few times, and got enough emblems to buy more gear (awesome). After doing laundry and getting something to eat, I did more of the random dungeon finder, and went on an Ulduar raid for a bit. My friend (silverthorne) came over, and we got ready to go to the concert (awesome). I talk to my mom, and she says that she won't be able to pick us up, and we can't take the bus, so we had literally no way to get home so we couldn't go to the concert (shitty), so instead we stayed at my house. Now he's sitting here, trying to get all the porn viruses off his computer while playing monster hunter, and I'm playing WoW.
I'd do that, but I have a weird ear thing. Anytime I'm in a pool and water gets in my ears (usually if I do a spin under the water, or if I try popping my ears while under the water) then I can't hear out of that ear for at least a day (well, I can hear, but it sounds like its full of water, even though I use Q-tips and stuff).
Embarrasing Fact: Power suit made by lowest bidder
Really, there are more free games than there is time to play them. Daniel Remar has a bunch you probably should look into if you haven't played them already.
Honestly? *takes deep breath* I was answering my CELL PHONE and I rear ended some lady. 100% stupid, 100% my fault. Her SUV suffered minimal rear bumper damage, but my bumper, grill, hood, and both fenders are crumpled all to shit. The car runs fine but Im not driving anything that looks like that. I'm using my friend's Prius until I get a new one.
