You don't even have to buy tracks though, there is a free entry option that can be used up to 25 times per day. That's what I've been doing, though it still doesn't work.
The iMac G5 was snappy, but the integer and floating-point tests for the Intel iMac show that it is at least twice as fast. I'd say it's an excellent computer, though I haven't tested it myself. 20" DVI LCD, DVI out, Radeon X1600 128MB video card, dual-core 2GHz Intel Core Duo, iSight webcam, dual-layer DVD±RW, Gigabit Ethernet, AirPort Extreme and Bluetooth 2. Then there's the whole Front Row and remote for entertainment. Plus it looks great.
I'm curious. Is there a site or a topic that gives you instructions how to dodge anihilator beam shots in MP2E multiplayer? I've figured it out by myself already so just give me a "yes" or "no".
The way I did it was shown in my old sig. <--> dodge pattern. It doesn't evade all of them but enough to stay alive after your opponent is out of ammo. It was all caused by intimidation from an unfaced rival, which motivated me to experiment with moves to help dodge Light Beam, (that's his favorite weapon) by disturbing his aim... which ended up dodging the Anihilator Beam... It's funny now that I think about it... Sometimes when you work really hard you may get better and unsuspected rewards.
But if what you just said is right, maybe their doing it to hide their "ultimate" breaktrough. But why keep it a secret? MP2E doesn't go online, telling people will only give readers an edge against their rivals and if both players know this then it will make battles more fun.
So if MP2E was online, then I can understand why resort to secrecy.
Which is why I always keep a close eye on my radar. But I'm not the type to just run away, only to surprise abush. You know what? Maybe I should take Duo's post as an advice, the last thing I want is my rival to learn and mimic, among all my friends I am the top metroid player. Coming in second is my cousin, he takes good advantage of my moment of weakness and before I realize he's showering me with anihilator beam shots from behind, I'm dead. He uses the element of surprise while I attack head on.
When metroid prime hunters is released. You, the top among your friends go face to face against someone who is the best among HIS friends (there's always the possibility of each of his are complete noobs, my cousin is no noob! Even with my trick I only beat him 10 - 5)
Plain bombs work best in most cases, especially since they explode on contact in multiplayer. My technique is to boost in, lay a few bombs (or a power bomb if present), then boost away before trying to attack again.
Edit: on another note, does anyone know a fairly cheap 8.4 or 9-inch LCD that supports SVGA resolution? If you do know of one sold in the US, is there a datasheet?
Okay, my school sucks. They've blocked a whole bunch of sites for pretty much no reason. My own website got blocked for pornography, SDA is blocked, GameFAQs is blocked-hell, even Zophar's Domain is blocked.
And yet, this site isn't blocked, as I'm posting this from school.
Go there and type the website you want to go to into the textbox under "TraceRoute" and click go. The page it takes you to will have a table that shows a bunch of information. What you want is right under where it says traceroute.
Here's a pic because I'm bad at describing things.
You want to copy the numbers it shows in parenthesis and paste it into the address bar.
In this case, I used www.SomethingAwful.com.
I would copy "206.251.175.10" and paste it into the address bar.
That was way too much typing for something so simple.
Unfortunately MY school filter doesn't just block IPs and domains, it blocks loopholes too. Google cache, Archive.org's Internet Wayback Machine, and most proxy servers are blocked. Best method for me is still to use the loophole in the software itself.
Give the megaproxy a shot. If not I can set up a circumventor for you, or maybe you could do it if you have a computer you want to leave running when you are at school.
Is there a way that would work on a webserver, because I can set my main computer up as an Apache webserver, or do I have to go through the agonizing process of installing it in VirtualPC?
BTW, I did say there was a loophole in the blocker that I already found…
Or try Project Bypass. No downloads of any kind, and they change their IP somewhat often, so if you school catches wind, you'll be able to use it again soon.
Ok, I had the wierdest dream awhile ago. AND IT WAS METROID BASED... omg....
Ok, basically, in this new metroid, Samus Returns to Planet Zebes YET AGAIN, for who knows what reason. Anyways, when I got to the end of the game, the final boss was .........................................(suspence)...................................... Samus. But not just Samus, a GIANT samus, that was was too darn big for the room it was in. Personally kinda interesting. So, how the heck do you beat an 80 foot tall samus? Shoot it in the Visor with loads of missiles. after so many missiles, Huge Samus would back off, the platform you were standing on disappears, you land on one that's lower, and then GS comes back, with a new power up, from what I saw, Giant Missiles instead of power beam. You repeat the above process, GS Backs off, platform disappears, and GS COmes back, this time with Giant SUper Missiles (DAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNGGGG!) Repeat above process, and this time your on the ground, and here comes a Giant Samus in Morph Ball. Wow, there isn't a way to defeat the morph ball form, so you just have to dodge morph ball and bombs like crazy for about a minute. After that's over, the ground opens up and your in another identical room, with Giant Samus. Launch Super Missiles at her this time, and after about 20-30 of those, she's dead. Well, not quite dead. Kinda like with Mecha Ridley, "Self Destruct Sequence Initiated" (Giant Samus is going to blow herself up with the entire planet.) You run like crazy to escape, and you win. :D All I have to say is... So much for Zebes.
As you can tell, this was one heck of a dream that I had. and I enjoyed it. I would LLLLOOOOOOOOOOVVVVEEEEEE to see this happen in a real metroid game. That would be one interesting twist.
I've recently begun reading ghost stories. They scare the hell out of me but I find them so interesting. Anyway, I decided to ask of any ghost stories any of you might have. I've had quite a few ghost stories in my life, living in a "haunted house" all my life. I recently found out the house I'm living in now is haunted. My last house was haunted from a series of deaths my family's been through. And my second house was just scary as shit. I'll start with a story from my last house. I'm sorry if the writing sucks, I'm a horrible writer.
According to the last owner's of the house, the last owners had a lot of cats and quite a few of them died fighting with each other. I had never thought anything of it, until this happened. I hadn't told anyone except for my best friend. And that was just yesterday because reading ghost stories brought all of my experiences back.
Anyway. In my old house, two cats had killed each other in my garage, and my mom's old boyfriend had hung himself there. We also have three living cats, each of which are very vocal. Unfortunately, we had all of our frozen foods stored in a freezer down there. During the summer last year, my sister and I were watching movies in my living room, which has a door connecting to the garage. the living room is right above the garage, too, so you have to walk down a sort of spiral staircase. My sister was hungry and asked me to go get a hot pocket, we'd both had experiences with Mark's (my mom's boyfriend) ghost so this was a very difficult thing for me to say yes to. It was summer so I went downstairs in my short pajamas. As I walked down I stared at the area where Mark had hung himself. I had just come from a bright room and my basement didn't have a light at the time so I saw hundreds of little spots. Needless to say, I rushed as fast as I could with that feeling of fear where your body feels very light and you feel like sobbing. I opened up the freezer and heard a meow. It came from behind me so I quick turned around and called for a cat, none came so I went back to the freezer and searched for hotpockets. I heard the meow again, this time closer and I called each cat by their name with no answer or movement. I was scared out of my mind because I'm a big pussy who gets scared of the dark easily, not to mention this garage gave reasons to be scared in the light. I was practically tearing and I started throwing stuff around in the freezer for the hot pockets when I felt something brush against my bare leg. It wasn't like a cat fur, but coarse and sharp. I jumped up with the hot pockets in my hand, closed the freezer door and started running up the stairs when I look down to see the stairs, it's almost pitch black remember, and I see bright lights below the stairs. They're the kind of stairs that are just boards placed on two long boards. I screamed and reached for the door handle and it was locked. Mark always does this. The door could only be locked from the inside of the garage. I scrambled for the lock and opened the door panting and slamming it behind me.
My sister asks what was wrong and I told her and she told me that all the cats had been by her side the entire time and that she didn't hear anything at all. Not even my scream.
Now the house has more haunts with my dead mother, her other boyfriend, another boyfriend and my uncle. We don't stay alone in that house.
I would say that I don't much care for hearing about dreams, but then I remembered that dream webcomic somebody here linked to...I hadn't laughed that hard since I was shown "PIXEL," the creator of which, incidentally, has his own hilarious dream log.
I don't really care about getting past the filter most of the time, though being able to use the IA Wayback Machine at school would be pretty sweet. Everything else that's blocked is stuff that I just plainly don't care about.
For a while though I know that you could bypass to reach some sites (I saw it used for MySpace a lot) by adding them to IE's trusted sites.
At this point anybody who wants to bypass the filter knows the password to get through, and to my knowledge nobody has been "audited" for direct bypass.
