I was talking about the new album they are doing in the summer. Yes, the last album was not that great, but I think they can make a big comeback. Chuck is my fave album though.
So I'm now in the mountains in colorado in a cabin-esque structure with nothing to do but try to stay warm and drink lots of coffee. I can't play metroid here because this computer is ancient (and not mine) and there are no gaming consoles in the house. I refuse to go outside in the snow. I'm going to go live up to my namesake and float around the living room.
So I'm now in hell in a cabin-esque structure with nothing to do but try to stay cool and endure hideous demon torture. I can't play metroid here because this computer is ancient (and not mine) and there are no gaming consoles in the house. I refuse to go outside in the towering inferno. I'm going to go live up to my namesake and float around the living room.
ugh, I had to recreate my account (this is ING-X btw) because the damn confirmation email wasn't being sent because I somehow forgot my password. I have no clue why it wouldn't send the damn email. I'm temporarily using this account until I can get this sorted out.
Only 3-4 inches in total, but it was enough for everybody to whinge, and the country to be plunged nto chaos. Useless! England edges closer to becoming a second-world country.
At the moment I have to drive to work every day. Takes ~ 45-50 minutes. It is interessting to see, how most people on the road can be divided into two groups, when it`s snowy: The one`s that are so anxious they hardly accelerate up to 50 km/h and the ones with no brains still hitting the gas as hard as possible. Both behaviors are totally idiotic. I mean, what`s their problem with snow? Just drive a bit slower and release the gas a bit earlier before curves and you`ll be fine all the way.
2 weeks ago we had snow in my area. Well, the first night we had Ice/freezing rain. I had to go into work. There was only one turn where I almost lost control. Then up a ways on that same road it felt like I started slowing down... But I made it to the highway where the roads were clearer.
The next night we had snow. I don't know why but I must've been feeling more confident. And yes. I still had to go into work. When I came up to that same spot in the road where I was slowing down the day before... Sure enough. My car slowed down (again) enough to where it came to a dead stop. I tried to get out but couldn't.
Then someone came by in their pick-up truck (4x4). He came up to where I was, rolled down his window and said; "Sucks to be you -don't it!?" Then drove off.... Laughing.
Ha ha. Actually, he got out and pushed my car backwards while I gave it gas, then pushed me forward and I was able to get out and get to my boring j-o-b.
Speaking of snow, it's been cold enough to snow here, and it's been raining but we're getting NOTHING. It falls below 36F in the morning and it doesnt rain, then later in the day when it gets to like the 50s it starts to rain, then late at night it rains some more but its like 40F >_<
Sick...catched a pretty bad cold. I never thought so much muscles can ache at the same time...
Anyone with an idea, what to drink? I pour tea in my throat for the last two days, can`t stand the taste anymore.
If I get really sick or think I'm about to be... I usually soak in a HOT bath, then bundle up (dress heavy) and go to bed. If you're not sleepy - then sit up, have a large glass of some kind of liquid. It doesn't have to be tea (IMO), you mainly want to get fluids into your system to help flush out the sickness. Even water is okay or some kind of fruit juice. I'd avoid anything too sugary or carbonated. Grape or cranberry, blueberry juices... Whatever. Those can be quite sweet, but if they have 100% or some high amount of Vitamin C - you'll be doing yourself some good.
Be sure to have a waste paper bin near to put any Kleenexes if you have a runny nose and/or phlegm. :-/
I`m going with mineral water now. In addition it`s not a cold...it`s damn influenza.
So idling in bed is the best option for the next days, but I`ve run out of DVDs to watch. I was watching winter sport championships the whole day. A lot of german gold medals, though.
