It's almost as if contradiction is a webcomic :O
Too many fangirls to count
Quote from nate:
look, saber, someone just compared contradiction to tpp with a straight face (as far as i can tell). :O
Since when is ">_>" a straight face?
since you were male and sexually attracted to girls! >_>

er ...

we now return to our regularly scheduled design.
Too many fangirls to count
I just got burned by nate. >_> Anyhow, I am both male AND sexually attracted to girls. -_- <-Straight face, fool.

Anyhow, the detail is rising, though it looks like you still have your work cut out for you. Especially on the face. Lack of deatail there.
Cook of the Sea
What lack of detail?  She has like, six piercings.
Vague piercings. We require you to ink those suckers down to the area reflections in the highlights.

I really need to gather time for the following things:
  • reading TPP,
  • getting my sketchbook back in order (Saber done got me all inspired again),
  • sleep.
Cook of the Sea
Hah.  I eventually did relaunch but there are a pathetically small number of pages given when I started.  I believe the current figure is 28.
red chamber dream
lol, yeah. It really won't take you long at all.

Also mangadood: there's not really supposed to be exuberant detail on these drawings: they're sketches.

Do you have dandruff? On your face?
Pretty sure they're freckles.  Just, uh, pixellated.
Too many fangirls to count
"Whoops, my pencil drawing is pixelated. I need to get a better graphics processor for this thing"
red chamber dream
Judging by the eyelashes, I think Saber was intending a sort of machinelike appearance.

Then again, maybe not; his freckles have always looked weird without colour.

Line quality practice:

Another try at the Before-After shots of modus.  She's 13 here.

I love the way you handle arms, shoulders, and -- well, I was gonna say the lines of the back, but then I saw that the stomach region got attention, too... and on the before image, the rib curve is pretty tight. So WTFever, I just like it all.

Though "After" feels slightly disproportionate in the neck. :|
Cook of the Sea
Yeah, I was noticing that there.  It's probably the cancer.
red chamber dream
Definitely doing better at making younger characters look their age. More rounded features would help, but I understand if you're making them "sharp" like that on purpose.
Cook of the Sea
She's a little off model (too short) but heck, it's been a while since I've drawn her.

I want to live in those hips. That neck is divine. And I want that outfit. Now.

Left eye and right breast are slightly off. Right shoulder isn't as dynamic as your normal style.

Strikes me as WAY too thin.
Quote from Yoshi348:
Strikes me as WAY too thin.

Me too. Unfortunately, it also appears legitimate - I'm acquainted with girls whose proportions demonstrate an even greater lack of intestines and kidneys.

Love the body freckles. Knees and hands were well-done. Might want to throw definition on those jaw things; at first glance, I thought she was horribly deformed - that they were deductions, rather than additions.

EDIT: The reason the thinness appears so striking, methinks, is that the waist is from a 16-year-old, whereas the hips and thighs are from a 20-something.
Cook of the Sea
This one's an interesting one.  She's actually 21 in this picture, but she's very short and in some ways underdeveloped for medical reasons.  Her body is supposed to resemble more of a 14-year-old than anything.
red chamber dream
I can tell those jaw things are additions, but they look really weird. Maybe somehow define or shadow them more.
