Cook of the Sea
What is the shape of a letter? It stands
Naked among the illiterate sands.
Boldy before, as the mockingbird sings;
defeated, at last, for inanimate things.
Although, all the days that I thought were in flight,
Buried among inescapable light.
And while all the thoughts that I thought I had seen
Never did say what I thought them to mean.
Filled with a truth, I regurgitate lies
Hoping they fall on intelligent eyes.
But yet, as the sum of my thoughts' end is near,
Happy am I, give they somebody cheer.
