From this point on, sig images are not to exceed 500 x 150 pixels in size. Any sig that exceeds these dimensions will be removed. Text sigs shouldn't be much longer than a 500 x 150 image either.

Can I just make a request to everyone right here? If you've got your sig up to the maximum size, would you mind not plugging any more text or anything into your sig? 500 x 150 is intended to be the MAXIMUM size, not the reccomended size, and it's meant to keep sigs from getting rediculously huge. I don't want to make a strict rule out of it, but... try to trim it down, k?

Only a little. Just because the limit is 500 x 150 doesn't mean you HAVE to make them all that size. But that is the limit, so it's not like you did anything wrong, so don't worry about it.

Good decision, especially since sigs can't be deactivated in the user-options.

They meant the image itself, not the actual whole signature. After all, due to the different configurations out there for the browsers, not everyone sees the fonts and everything else in the same size, so it'd be nearly impossible to moderate them. The rules only apply to the images.
